Season ticket details are out for next year, announced at the first stoppage in tonight's game. halifaxmooseheads.ca/season-memberships-2#I know there's a lot of naysayers but this is a really great start for the new ownership in my opinion!

Online team-verified reseller market for tickets. That's an excellent idea. A lot of other good additions there.
Only 250 kids season tickets available at the $94 price. Those should sell quick.

The $75 concession credit is nice too, way better than the (mostly useless) "coupon book".

Important to note that it's 250 NEW kids season tickets available. Every current youth STH is guaranteed and locked in at $94 if they renew.

Moose played a short clip during intermission Sunday, here is the full interview with the new owners with Scott MacIntosh. How stupid do the people feel that said they just bought the team to move .

I never thought that was a remote possibility. Halifax is one of the premier markets for Junior hockey on the continent. If you're going to buy a team to move it, you're buying the Armada or Titan (and they're probably significantly cheaper too).

I never thought they were going to move either. I was just worried it was going to be an indifferent owner looking to make an investment and take as much money out of us as they could. They seem like decent people.

It's hard to flip a CHL franchise for a profit. Need to own it for about 20 years to make that work. That's if its a strong home market. Which this one is. Smith got a return on the investment. Likely sold the brand/team for $25-$28 million. I think he doubled his investment.
The real money is the income this franchise makes year over year.
Other franchises lose money year over year and those owners are writing off their losses. Any franchise has value - someone will always buy it and make you whole in the end. Poorer market they would move it. But not Halifax. What they have here others would love to have.
These owners seem to understand that being good community business leaders will increase franchise value plus earn them income $ each year.

Very nice interview. Those guys look genuine and I believe that they will bring the team and facilities to another level. Great to be a Moose fan theses days.

The Simons in my opinion have subtly been very good since acquiring the team. They're involved with the team without being involved in the actual building of the roster, which is absolutely perfect. I like their personalized messages every once in a while. I hope their planned arena upgrades go through. MacKinnon's jersey retirement and new ownership can't be a coincidence.
This team can get a fan base similar to the London Knights, who don't see huge fluctuations in down seasons and have the 2nd highest average attendance behind the Remparts in the country. As great as Halifax has been, I think there is some untapped potential that the Simons can tap into.

Unless it's a different Simon seems like Peter Simon is listed as a partner trying to bring an NHL expansion team to Atlanta.

Well he can take his empty promises to the NHL. This guy has come to Halifax saying he was going to better everything and honestly has done nothing except buy a new t-shirt gun that didnt work very long, and get a blow up for the timbits game, hire a coach that we already fired.
Now you watch season tickets will be jacked up next year as well and everyone is stuck with a deposit that they already paid in a rebuilding year. So far this guy has done nothing to better this team, rink or the community.
He is a smart owner in a way that he purchased a franchise that he cant lose with, in a community that is loyal to a fault.
