Not surprised to see Carkner go, but wish he would’ve stuck around. Looking forward to seeing the game tomorrow night

I’m a little shocked to see Carter cut so soon. I thought he looked pretty good from the 2 games I saw. But in Jim I trust.

Looked great but maybe keeping the college route open. He's a smaller kid who has played out of his own province at a prep school. Maybe NCAA is the final goal over major junior. I’m a little shocked to see Carter cut so soon. I thought he looked pretty good from the 2 games I saw. But in Jim I trust. |

Carter and Carkner are both heading to prep.
Would have been nice to get Carkner.....but with Carter being a NL boy, and a draftee, there is always a chance down the road.

Last nights game was quite feisty.
It was two 30 minute periods and it was a whopping 13-5 win for the black team which resulted in a shootout for the trophy where the White team once again dominated.
I’m not the greatest at updating with stats but this game had a bit of everything including a fight between Bowness and a rookie whose name escapes me. Later Bowness took a nasty hit from Hughes that silenced the crowd just enough to hear the profanity coming from his mouth. He skated off the ice which is a good sign. Hoping he’s alright.
We were standing next to Romeo. He’s cleared concussion protocol but he’s got one heck of a fat lip from his fall in the second game.
Standouts to me were Morneau and Lyons. Campbell also looked pretty good.

We’ve acquired Alexis Jacques from Victoriaville for an 8th round pick.
Seems like a very strange move to make unless we’re making another move to send out a D man.
I feel like our D corps are pretty good and the last few spots will be hard to make…Jacques is an 18 y/o that played 17 games with the Tigres last year.
For sure, it’s a great problem to have but seems like a bit of a logjam back there now

Hulton always acquires an experienced (somewhat) dman before the season or very early into it
nothing wrong with trying to find someone who can play at a cheap price..... if we find out what we already have is good enough so be it
personally I don't expect Vos to be on the team this year... by the sounds of it Mossey is hurt again and well this likely spells the end of the line for him if it's serious and given the track record everything with him seems serious unfortunately.... where is this logjam?

Hinkley
are the only locks I see unless i'm missing someone
Duguay, Vincent, Jaucques, Plamondon, Ryan likely battle it out for remaining spots

Logjam may be a bit of an exaggeration…but from all reports, Dugay will be on the team…Mossey originally made the team last year, nothing has been released on his injury so I figured it likely wasn’t too major.

Mossey only player in history to make a team without ever playing a game didn't even play last years in camp has never been seen on the ice in an Isles jersey had high hopes for the kid when he was drafted and convinced to go major junior but he'll be 18 and still not on ice..... high hopes are gone Duguay probably makes the team.... still makes sense to get an older guy with some Q experience..... we aren't gonna dress 3 rookies on D again nightly this year..... |

You know everything! sorry to offend you tell me what was not true in what i said? there is no reason to be surprised by adding an older dman during training camp.... and it doesn't impact the chances of the highly regarded young d playing some games |
