Christmas trade period

That’s what I was thinking there is no need to give someone up if it’s not worth it. If you can get picks and maybe a player who worlds into the plan make a trade if not just keep what you have. That being said I feel to give younger players a shot a few moves would be good

Its been a very strange trade period lots of rumours around the league but not much mouvement. For the seadogs we will probably see some mouvement on the back we have currently way too many:
Bilodeau, Gauthier, Tivey, Mann, Iaeniello, Dassylva, Amyot, Maclean, and Richard so if the plan is to give more quality ice time to our younger players it means 2 of the first 5 names need to move. I think Amyot needs to play top 4 minutes in the 2nd half.

Honestly, I don't know what to expect.

The urgency to move players isn't there, so there shouldn't be any moves just because.

If someone offered a younger forward with top 6 potential for Reinhart, I dont think I'd say no.

I struggle to see any team that is going to pay for Mateiko.

I would agree as I see on other boards talking about teams needing experience if taking a run next year the same goes for teams in rebuild. You also have to look at the top 5 and there ages. Who will be here next year and what you can get now for them.

I would guess there are a few moves coming for sure of Richards is called up. What is Manns injury?

Little bit surprised if this is true, I felt Duhamel would be more likely to be called up at christmas considering he nearly made the team out of camp.

At this time of the year, he might be injured or he might have the Blue Flu.

With Mateiko being our best trade chip what is the difference in price in trading him now or at the draft? On a side note Beveridge was a healthy scratch not that I'm an expert on reading peoples expressions but seen him outside before the game and he didn't look to happy.

I'm not sure that there is any difference between trading Mateiko now or later. He's one of the better imports in the league, but he isn't an elite player at this point.

Beveridge took a bad penalty the night before. He's 16 and doesn't like not playing. There's nothing wrong with that.

I'm too lazy to look up stats but Mateikos 15 goals as a 18 yr old has to rank up their euro or not. As for Beveridge your right he is 16 and he's gonna make mistakes but I would rather see him on the ice the next night to learn from them playing 19 yr olds that have 0 up side makes no sense.

Any chance we trade Ellie I dont care how many pts he has he shouldn't be a centre cause I haven't seen him win a face off yet let's his man go to the net 5 or 6 times a game and coudnt find a corner in a square.

if Elie gets moved I can see a team like Rimouski being interested. Would really help their top 9 for this year and next. And they have the assets to do so.
