Stocking up on 2025 1sts better chance to get Alexis Joseph. I like the way you think, but unfortunately I don't think that pick will be a lottery pick in 2025. Pretty sure the Wildcats are building towards next season. In fact, the only thing that stopped them from putting in a Memorial Cup bid is the fact they didn't think the Q would have 3 consecutive Maritime hosts. Had Halifax traded us their own 1st round pick in 2025 I'd be more hopeful depending on what else they do this trade period. |

I think our pick in 25 has a good chance to be a lottery pick another option is to trade monctons 1st and cb 1st and move up with the other pick.

I've gotta say that the development in the Crickard era has been nice to see.
It sucks to see a guy like Pete go, but at the same time, we are handing 1C duties to Elie.
From this point, I think we could trade another FW (likely with a younger forward as part of the deal) and 1-2 D (though we need to end up net -1 imo to make a roster spot for Richard).

Is mateiko next and where Halifax needs an upgrade on their euro this year and moncton does next year good spot to have the top 18 yr old euro in the league.

I dont know how willing they would be to pay for a Mateiko once they've paid top dollar for 2 OA. If SJ isn't getting a good price, it might make sense to wait and sell him as a 19. |

What would be the asking price now compared to next year we paid two 2nds and a 3rd for Ansons in 22 I think Mateiko is better.

Mateiko is relatively better (he's definitely one of the top 5 non-OA forwards that could be available). The big thing that a team could offer would be player(s) that could grow into the team. |

10 years ago Euros were impact spots on your roster, today... due to Russia's war and other countries keeping their best players home, the Euro draft is less and less impactful. Some of the guys who are coming over are just not CHL quality players, which was rare but is fairly common now.

Been very quiet so far. Are we expecting many moves? Honestly, I don't know what to expect. The urgency to move players isn't there, so there shouldn't be any moves just because. If someone offered a younger forward with top 6 potential for Reinhart, I dont think I'd say no. I struggle to see any team that is going to pay for Mateiko. |
