I have a bias but frankly I don't understand bringing in these young dmen to play on a bad team at 16 and 17, especially when they aren't racking up big point totals in their current locations. I would think development would be better served where they can be a more important player on a "lower level" team.

Some guys thrive off the playing time at a higher level. Some guys thrive on being the guy at a lower level. Unless you have good reason to believe a certain player would be better suited in a different environment for some reason....whats the difference if a kid is playing in the Q or in Jr A/midget? And as a fan of a rebuilding team do you want to see a pile of 19yr old with no chance of playing beyond this season getting beat every night or would you rather watch some 16 and 17yr olds who can grow into being solid players at 19 and 20? If every player was better suited for development at a lower level how would you ever develop anyone?

Regarding Olivier Duhamel - who was reportedly the top RHD in the last draft - this could simply be for the weekend, per the team's X post. We will have to see what the lineup looks like after the trade deadline and waiver period next week. I'm a bit surprised that Dassylva has been reassigned. I've liked what I've seen from him ... but I clearly am not part of the coaching staff. There has been some buzz on the French boards that LHD Vincent Murray ('06) may be on his way out of Quebec City. I wonder if there is a deal to be had with the Remparts for him. And, while it's likely a very long shot, there has been some buzz that Tyler Peddle could be available. I've not heard anything specifically about the Sea Dogs on that front. But Saint John and Drummondville have a solid track record of trades recently (e.g. William Dufour and Drew Elliott).

Not bad value for a free agent add. Reinhart should do well in Drummondville as well.

We are starting to have a decent 05 core with Peddle, Elie, Simek and Mateiko up front. Bilodeau in the back. I honestly think its time for this group to be leaders on this team.

With all due respect to Reinhart what a fall-off for a guy who was almost a #1 pick in Peddle. I hope he can thrive in Saint John but... yeesh.

BC traded their young guys (Lampron, Lanthier) Halifax doesn't want to give theirs for a 1st lol Drummondville has no 16s, same with RN and Victo Maybe Goguen in Riki, though they've explicitly said that they don't want to move him.
