Good game tonight could have went either way. Top line was Beveridge Miller and Reynolds and our 16 yr old defenceman looked good as well Robinson should start rhe majority of the games time to dump Leaver. Future looks bright

I would like to see us find a way to bring Richard and Duhamel up for the rest of the year, and get our hands on someone who can play C (it would be best if the person was younger)

Simek - Elie - Peddle Elliott - Pierre-Noel - Fournier Reynolds - Miller - Beveridge Akkouche - Laforge - Beaulieu Tivey - Ianniello Bilodeau - Amyot MacLean - Duhamel Richard Leaver I like the idea of Simek, Elie and Peddle together, especially since they are all classed as 18 year-olds and they have a chance to grow together. If Moose (Mateiko) isn't traded by the deadline, putting him with Elliott and/or Fournier could make for a strong "second line". It could also be interesting to see how the Reynolds, Miller & Beveridge combination develop together as well. Without Mann in the lineup, I am concerned about that defensive unit, especially against bigger/heavier teams. |

Jeff Hopkins needs to not be a ref in this league. 4 extremely dangerous plays (including one that should have been a 5 and a game by Rutledge) with no calls, then he calls two absolute garbage plays that had no impact on the game.
His standard is directly responsible for Miller being hurt.

Though Hopkins is pretty crap at reffing. Most of the Maritime officials are horrible though. It's no wonder you never see any of them getting promoted. It's pretty sad when Maritime teams get better reffing on Quebec road trips. That said, good game Dogs fans, that was a fun one to watch despite the loss. |

Only saw the 3rd. Reffing was fine.
That being said, it's absurd that Hopkins is allowed to ref Sea Dogs games. That's not a criticism nor a defense, just a statement of fact.
If I was him I'd refuse to ref Sea Dogs games. It's a no-win situation for him.

I think SJ is caught in a strange spot. They have made moves to get younger but if there is another trade to happen I would think maybe on D but you need to get the right price for one of them. I liked what I saw last night on the feed as they played a good game against the islanders. If they are to move one more player what do we need in return?
