Thanks guys for Peter Repcik vs 6 st choice 18 goals and 20 assist on 29 Games . You win some, you lose some. We've had some trades with you guys where we really reaped the benefits (Joseph for example). Glad to see him thriving with you guys though, it'll make it a lot easier to cheer you guys on for a playoff run. Good luck!

Eddy Doyle from Halifax or Wil Murphy from the Eagles would be two locals who would fit that age group. I personally don't see any reason to add Murphy. Sure. He's playing JrA now at 16, I get that. He has 6 assist in 25 games. I don't think many people care if the players are local or not.....well, I personally don't anyways. Conrad-16 Kearsey-17 Duguay-17 The also have 16yr old Zack Plamondon in their system as well as 16yr old Kenzie Wagner....who are both having very good seasons.

I was never against it, but I want players that both want to be here and will help us finally win a championship. With the hard work the new owners, Gordie, and now Jim have done for the franchise though, players not wanting to be here isn't really an issue now.

No I agree that Murphy will never be an offensive dman. More of a Lane Hinkley type. I have watched him play 15 times this year and he skates very well for a big man. He adds a defensive physical dimension that the Isles are lacking. Plamondon has taken a huge step forward this season as well. I am not high on Duguays potential personally but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

What's the possibility here of there not being much, if any, movement by the Islanders? It feels like there isn't much going to happen this year

Still teams who are going for it next year that would upgrade for cheap if they could and I can see that happening with Horth or Orr

Jarrett Todd has officially signed with the Summerside Capitals according to their FB. Yep. Bowness is gone too. Not to the Caps**.

I wish we'd do something. Trading our 20s for anything would be more valuable to us than keeping them and losing on assets.
Obviously don't take lowball offers, but even picks in the second and third round aren't nothing.
I would look into trading Kearsey too. A team looking to compete next year and maybe the year after would really benefit from him and bring in a ton of assets. Would be very similar to the Joseph trade. (before anyone jumps me for that one, read that I said I'd look into it, as in consider it as an option, not jump right at trading him).

Kersay is only 17…we can hold onto him until next year and his value will still be as good

2023 6th……which doesn’t sound like a lot. But remember Euros are hard to trade. We could have gotten more for Peter if we were dealing him now, if we didn’t deal him we could not have added two new Euros for this season. what did the islanders get for repcik

At the time we were lucky to get a 6th for him. Who realistically saw him taking that big jump in his game this year? You win some, you lose some. But this was definitely a pretty unpredictable trade.

He had something like 22 points in his last 28 games and an outstanding world jrs, I was hoping the Moose would add him. Figured he’d be cheap but not that cheap.
