I dont care why were were celebrating of course we did that just isn't my point at all though. My point is tip prospects should go where they are drafted. It sucks having your eyes set on a prospect and not getting him because he doesn't want to can't say the q works this way and say that doesn't suck. Q teams win with a balanced team I get that but doesn't change the fact that a guy saying he doesn't want to play for your team sucks I get we can still win without them but it's a lot nicer with the stars of the league Regardless of how this league works nothing can change the fact tjay it sucks when a player basically says F that team they are big enough for me NHL markets have kids refuse to go there. It sucks. It doesn't suck enough that it should effect the enjoyment of the product. That should stand alone as its own thing. In what world does absolutely no human want to pick where they live, work, or in this case play? Why would you send your kid to a market that you don't believe can help improve their career aspirations when they have considerably better options? You're looking at it as a fan. This is a $20/ticket league. Nobody cares if these kids are cut once they give up their NCAA rights. Look at it through the lense of a player or a parent trying to get your kid into the best situation possible. Now imagine Quebec is offering a full ride after the Q if pro hockey doesn't happen and the best coaching and on/off ice support and even some perks for mom and dad to visit a few times every year. And Bathurst is offering the minimum they have to offer. Its not as easy as if we pick a kid they should have to play here. Or force an opt in system that further crippled everyone else. Otherwise pick the best of the kids you have available to you who will report and if you have good coaching and made some good choices you won't care where the NCAA bluffs went. There is no fair system in any league. They all suck. Its still so much better then the alternative. Would you be happier being the team everyone wanted to play for in the Jr. A league? I'm not sure when I said I don't enjoy the league or the product of he doesn't want to play for a small town team go NCAA and pick there simple as that lol this is a league with a draft. This has nothing to do with the NHL Jr.A or 20 dollar tickets this has to do with players saying they won't play for one team but will play in the same league it's dumb to me.

And like I said it happens at the highest levels. So it absolutely has to be viewed relative to the context of the league that its being argued about. I'll put it to you like many have had this put to them over the years of this debate: What is the solution that pleases enough people for it to make sense? Ultimately its complain about it or just accept it as part of the deal and move on to discussing the other elements of draft week. Quebec is paying a small market to move up from 4 to 1 to pick the best kid #1 this year. Isn't that also a huge indication that there's absolutely nothing wrong with the admitted imperfect system that I think everyone would agree is imperfect?

Actually, Quebec is paying a small market to move up from 4 to 1 to pick the kid they think is the best this year, but for all they or anyone else knows the kid who gets picked 4th may end up better in the long run.

Very true. The 2nd round pick CB acquired could end up as the best QMJHL player of the players selected this year. The best NHL prospect is not always the best QMJHL player.

This has nothing to do with the NHL Jr.A or 20 dollar tickets this has to do with players saying they won't play for one team but will play in the same league it's dumb to me. Again by all accounts he’s leaning NCAA. For all we know he’s told every team he isn’t coming, it wouldn’t matter what market he ends up in. Those players exist every year. Some guys simply don’t want to play in the CHL, there’s nothing wrong with that. Some kids are interested but it depends on where they end up, which is completely fair as well. Since this is a league where teams are not created equally, it’s stupid for people to be upset that some players don’t want to play for their market. It’s no different than an adult deciding where they want to work. It doesn’t even matter in the long-term, if a guy will only report to a handful of teams and that team selects him, it just means there’s going to be other good players available to the small market teams. If he won’t report anywhere, that big market team is still going to select a player and it’s one less talented player who will play in the Q and be available to a small market.

honestly I don't really care where we pick in the 1st round or who as long as they're the proper choice for that area and that they'll report. Yes there's players with higher talent but if they won't report then just don't bother and onto the next kid who will. This team will have 2-3 1st rounders, good chance to hit on majority and rebuild this squad properly.

Yea I think no matter what this is a good draft for us most picks we've had in the a while and we never get to see 2 in the first so it will be nice either way, If rumors are true it could even be 3

I have a feeling the Titan end up with only one first round pick. I mean if this happens I hope it's cause they acquire a solid 17/18 YO to add to the core. Otherwise no reason to draft with what we already have.
