If Peitzche ends up in St. John he won’t be a third liner , prob end up 2nd line centre with miller on the wing they have history playing together . Doubt shawinigan will trade him though .

Knowing we can't have three OA players on defense, who do you think we're better off keeping?

I believe Tivey will be fine at Christmas but just can’t see Mann moved. How did he do on his games in the ECHL

How did he do on his games in the ECHL Mann is one of those guys where people will always criticize his play more than he deserves because his is a stay at home D. He's a very good player and would be good on any team, but it's easier to see his mistakes than a guy like Tivey. They only played together a little bit because Saint John had to balance out the D, but Tivey and Mann could play against any line in the league at a decent level. Personally, I think Mann is the better D, but Tivey would be a fit for more teams. Mann would look excellent on a team like BLB where they could pair him with Villeneuve.

I am not knocking Mann the reason I can’t see him moved unless they get what the gave up to get him. I like stay at home D who play things safe. Tivey will get you something similar but cost nothing.

Some chatter on the french boards about Mateiko being traded to Chicoutimi... two or three different people have mentioned it on there now so maybe there's something to it
Interesting because they have picks 7 and 10, plus two 2nds this year.

Interesting buzz on Mateiko - end of season it was him going to Moncton around the draft for a high pick. The change in leadership there may have impacted any chance of that.

I don't think SJ needs a high pick if Mateiko ends up being traded specially in this year draft, not much worth risking for. I see more like a 1 to 2 player trade between anyone who wants him (and future low pick). Someone who can add some goals on the board Still wondering who from last season will not return, couple of uncertain from what I heard.

I could see value like: Gabe Smith + 2nd from Moncton Cape Breton could offer picks, players, or Mateiko could be used to move up Chicoutimi would likely be straight picks

I like the player, but he's a borderline third line player.
