Any thoughts on who it could be? It seems like a few guys that were leaning NCAA are now joining Q teams. I wonder if they could convince a guy to come here because of the change in eligibility rules. Bah gawd that's Pellitteri's music. I think Moncton is one of the teams that will benefit most from the rules change (Moncton, Halifax, Quebec and SJ). Assuming they do have someone already, I think it’s most likely to be a guy they have had on one of their pre-season rosters. One of Pelliteri, Gould or Hendry would be my bet. Kind of hoping it’s a complete wildcard though for the surprise factor. |

If true it seems like a head scratcher with a lot to unpack there. It would make the most sense that he would be brought in as a upgrade on Warren you would think. But why come here as a legit NHL prospect for a backup role, and why for only half a season when you are committed to Yale next year? Warren has been a bit inconsistent this season but has still been pretty solid. So if it's not that then maybe they want to open up a 20yo slot for a skater. But that is a huge risk to move Steinman when he is already one of the top goalies in the league for a unknown - even if he is NHL drafted. |

I believe Gardiner ran a 60/40 or 50/50 split a few years with his goalies when he appeared to have confidence in both. Been seeing some things where cedar rapids is kind of a mess and with him being able to come up here and do the same thing closer to home and still go to Yale next year, it’s probably worth it for him. |

IMO he needs to play so it could be a case where they let him go to jr a and give this new guy a shot and if he pans out then you look to move Warren or something |

He has pretty underwhelming stats in a somewhat lower calibre league. Maybe Warren has asked for a trade ? Only thing that makes sense imo

It would also be possible to get him there now by waiving him. Gatineau is last in the league and could claim him and send compensation at Christmas break
