I'm sure there will be changes in the off season, would not be surprised if they add a couple big pieces by trade. Rumors are that Vidicek and MacKinnon are coming from Halifax. Here is how things stand today:

I think the only way we see Mueller back is if he gets drafted, starts the season in the AHL/ECHL and then gets re-assigned at some point.

Moncton will need to address the toughness/sandpaper on the back end , maybe trade Grenier or AFG to help get a #2 shutdown defenceman, Scoring can be looked at as the season goes , also Rumors of Vidicek and Mckinnion would address those needs. Goaltending is set unless you can get Rousseau without giving away too much

Steinman and maybe 3rd round to get Rousseau ? Wouldn’t nearly be enough, while Rousseau is likely an upgrade. I don’t think the price is worth it. |

I don’t see it making sense for us to make a move for Rousseau (or any other goalie) this summer. Steinman and Warren should both get a chance to show what they can do with another year under their belt behind a strong team. If it turns out the first half is not up to expectations, can potentially move for a goalie at Xmas. |

The 24-25 season hasn't even started, pretty early to say those guys can't do the job when both played a big part of getting the team to the top 4 overall until the offense disappeared. They are at worst good enough that you can wait until midseason to make a call. You can usually get a 20 year old goalie for a less than huge return at midsesaon trade period. |

Hearing Peitzche from shawinigan traded by moose at deadline is looking to come back to maritimes , he’s not 18 til dec and starting 3rd year he can score and has some grit was a 2nd round pick 2022 may be a good fit !! . Also hearing vidicek is heading to Moncton I guess we won’t know til draft. Jack Martin local boy would be a good pick up on the back end as well .

F/A Sampson /Hayne/schlender Carrier won't play on a 4th line for a second year in a row, Smith is not top 9 on a contender's team, Lounsbury and Collard are barely top 6 on a contender's team. A lot of players are overvalued. There's a lot to be done upfront to call the 2024-2025 Wildcats a REAL contender even with the terrible coaching this season. That's my opinion. |
