Another LD... to me this makes no sense. Kearsey, Conrad, Plamondon, Jardine are all LD. Unless he can play on the right side or we take the Slovak. I don't understand this pick.

At this stage, unless you're a top skilled dman, left side- right side isn't something that is set in stone on the backend

Both of them appear to have contracts already in place for next year. I'd be a little shocked if we could pry one of them away from their european teams.
Is Maruna for sure gone?

Yes. From what I read, Voyaga only has a try-out with Spartak of the MHL.....and I don't think he would make the team anyhow.

i mean i know nothing about the player Same. Some info I found. His Father played 399 regular season NHL games and also played in the OHL..Bellville Bulls....after getting selected in the 1998 CHL Import Draft . A connection.... Luka's Father, ex NHL player, Branko Radivojevič, was also selected in the CHL Import Draft and played three seasons with the Bellville Bulls of the OHL. His coach at the time in Bellville was current Islanders head coach......Jim Hulton.

Voyaga expected to join the Islanders to start the season.
Other pick was a bit of a calculated gamble…basically hoping he struggles a little bit in the SHL which is certainly possible…considering a 18 year old playing in a pro league.
But ovbiously Hulton has connections with him and had productive meetings and the kid is open to coming to PEI if the SHL falls through.

You're right, misread the post that came up on Facebook (or Mooseheads had it wrong in the post).
Interesting draft. What does this mean for Goriunov? Isn't he an import player?
Or was the second pick kinda like when we picked Michkov?

I’ve read Radivojevic isn’t reporting to the CHL.

sounds like the Radivojevic pick is more for next year hopefully
not sure why they would go another dman route with the 2nd pick but whatever
offense is still gonna be a big question mark this year
