The first 3 are locks, as is Dimitruk if he decides to stay QMJHL. the #3/4-#7 spots are very wide open with Goyens and Tolles having an edge on the others due to experience but being 19 they need to be top 4/5 guys to stick or lose their spot to a younger(17/18) d-man. Little and Herr could also be kept as enforcer/forward depend on how Lamoureux handles the job.

This is by far the deeperst position, players like Brenton Lepage Lincourt Watson could be cut or traded as young players, especially with the team trying to get bigger(Brenton and Lepage) like MacAusland and Brown will have their spots and guys like Bezak Brannon Sill and Lamoureux(if he can handle the enforcer job) appear to be locks. These battles will be very interesting to watch, especially if one of the FA's comes up big to pry a spot from a veteran.

Interesting take on things. I'd like to see Lamoureux make the team, but I don't know who you'd bump from the top 13 forwards to make room, unless he can serve as the #7 defenseman (maybe a stretch). It's a good problem to have.

I am wondering if the forwards who don't make the cut would bring back a defenseman any better than the FA we have in camp. Maybe Lincourt, but I don't know which teams need 20 yo's.

For Lamoureux, I think the only question is wether he can do the enforcer job. Just from a hockey standpoint he is on the bubble, so providing good protection makes him a lock. He brings a dimension that MacLellan Brenton Lepage and co don't bring.

Lamoureux will have some good tests in Legros and Gallant the first few games to see how he measures up...........if he wants the enforcer role

No offense to Murdoch but he is not exactly first line material. Boyel won't be here on defense apparently and I don't believe Sniderman will be around either.

I didn't really forget him .. I just don't know if I see him making the team, that's all. He hasn't really impressed me personally. But making the lineup is tough to do right now, wait and see what happens I guess.
