I agree with you 100% I gues he doesn't realize that we support our team..And we stand behind him...But he has not been away that long to get home sick I wouldn't think...But it is hard to be away from home at 17.. Lets hope that its just a case of the nevers and not a family issue....

truth maybe..but the reason is what we all want to know.. is it personal family issues.. is it he is having doubts. hey if its doubts.. lets send the kid a bunch of emails telling him what our experience of watching the Q for however long has been. Tell him that we want him here. I dont know...but it would be nice to just know the reason... if its family related.. well the actual reason is none of our business,,but just be nice to know it is family or it is his doubting his decision!! Next best thing to e-mails....messages on facebook He's on there, look him up and send him a few words.

There is one good thing about him leaving and that is that we may now have room for Matt Boyle. He was fairly highly drafted in 2006, but got injured and didn't play for Cats all last season. But based on the game the other night he's back and ready to play. Looked fairly good, considering he has only the equivalent of experience of a 17 year old. Good middle weight fighter. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have Dimitruk come back, but I like the idea of Boyle also being given a chance.

I agree about Boyle he wants to be here bad.He is trying to make room for himself even if it might take a while to get his game back from missing last year with knee surgery. His first time on the ice since last year was when training camp started.Give him 6 weeks and I think we will see a big improvement in his game. He already showed he is one our tougher 18 year olds and may be needed more next year.

That being said... does he deserve to be here? I thought he played a solid game against Bathurst (even without the fight). If he can play like that consistently, I have no problem with him in the lineup.

If he can play like that consistently, I have no problem with him in the lineup. I have no issue with Boyle ... I didn't see the game on Tuesday but did see the local game vs SJ and wasn't impressed ... but one game is not enough. But if we are losing a 17 yr old then I'd rather add another 17 yr old to maintain continuity in our age groups ... something Flynn is a proponent of. Gomes and Eastman are 19 (and Herr) ... Pianosi and Baca are 18 (so is Boyle) ... Barberio is 17 and so is Demitruk. If we have to remove Demitruk I'd rather add a guy like Firlotte who impressed me as being every bit as good as any rookie Dman in training camp ... with the exception of the rookie 19 yr olds. Firlotte has great size and had the balls to drop the gloves with the toughest (I use that term loosely) guy in camp ... I don't care that he didn't win the fight but I liked his willingness anyway. Personally I was not as impressed with Demitruk as some others here have gushed about. He is a nice skater ... good size ... handles the puck fairly well ... but he was not the most impressive rookie Dman IMO. I see potential in him but I had no expectations of greatness from him for this season. He is no Mark Barberio (same age) ... who looks like a 19 yr old out there. I'm not saying I'm happy to see Demitruk go ... just saying his absence is not going to hurt us this year. Edit: Oops ... forgot Wilson ... all the more reason not to add another 18 yr old.

Steve I agree on your Firlotte to keep players with time on there side but I question whether Herr was a good move instead of Boyle.

Well I don't think anybody realized that Boyle could fight ... reading on the Titan board (from "Pug") it is mentioned that he has been training with a boxing coach ... interesting. I can't defend the choice to keep Herr but he was really the only one who has shown any willingness to drop the gloves ... and by the time the deadline arrived on Monday Boyle had not shown his own pugilistic prowess.

Where are you getting Boyle can Fight? The other guy was half his size and they both fought with their heads down the whole fight. If either fight someone legit, they are going to get killed. Me and a guy sitting next to me and who I don't know said the same thing.
