so the penaltie that moorehouse got would of been the same penalty that Bezak would of got in bathurst if the ref would of giving it to him for making push ups after his goal ? I think it was the first time I heard of a ten-minute misconduct for "inciting" - in the past they would have made the call, but thrown it under the general category of "unsportsmanlike conduct" ... the Q has a penalty in place for excessive goal celebrations, not sure what they call it or whether it is a minor or a misconduct - they brought it in several years ago to put a stop to things like diving on the centre ice logo after you score - Bathurst was well known for that one ...

Only in the playoffs........and only at home......except for one idiot who was the reason they got chastised for it.

David Bouchard speed bagged Kalen Herr............................have not watched much since. You must have missed the part where Herr was dominating the fight ... almost had Bouchard down and out ... but Bouchard came back with a strong finish to take the decision. Dominating ...at one point both guys were trading shots pretty good and Herr seemed to land a few better shots than Bouchard, but the lefts he came back with were very good shots and at least 2 of them stung Herr causing him the drop right after. Clear win for Bouchard Herr hung in there good for awhile but he never "dominated" at any point.

Thank god Baca wasn't playing and it was Gomes that was inserted into the lineup Baca is "not used to North America" so he would of played worse then Myles "I wish I was Keith Yandle" Gomes. If it wasn't for him Riopel would have not only had the shutout but he would of had a much easier night. Now I know he was rusty or whatever but Baca was one of our best players in pre-season and scrimmages and is a year younger, put him in the lineup! The only thing I saw Gomes do right tonight was to shoot everytime he got the puck on the point during the power play. I hope we see Baca on Friday. He made a few nice passes and showed some decent vision. He sent Eagles in on a breakaway with a beauty pass. He's still way too slow and had too many giveaways. I really wish Eastman was 18. He's basically the third defenceman as it stands and is adjusting very well. There's some similarities between his game and Andrew MacDonald's. There might not even be any room for him next year cause he'll be a 20 yr old. Gomes, Lavigne and Herr are obviously out of the picture for next year, so that leaves Sill, Eagles, MacLellan. I'd say Sill and Eagles are safe bets plus there's always the chance they acquire a high quality 20yr old like they did with Dupuis last time they went for it.

I would call that unsportsmanlike conduct ... but any good Ref is going to warn the guy to cut that garbage out before he calls him ... especially when that made it 1-1 (I think). If the score was 7-1 for Moncton and he scored to make it 8-1 and then did his pushups ... he would definately get a penalty ... its very disrespectful to the opponent. The difference is that Bezak wasn't trying to get the opposing players to go postal ... while Morehouse was. Bezak was just showboating ... hotdogging.

I've heard of it being called once befor ein the Q... and it was a two minute minor. I think Lariviere got it against Drummondville (ironically) one time... it was the same game in which Jonathan Desroches got two for "biting".

Haven't seen this posted anywhere, but on the major penalty in the first period, I was curious as to why NO ONE on the ice (except a Wildcat player) noticed that the Volttigeurs didn't have someone in the penalty box serving the major penalty for the player that had gotten ejected?
At the end of the penalty, the Volts coach finally noticed ... then started yapping at the ref for not noticing it!

I don't know why he was yapping but it's the coach's responsibility to put someone in the box. They sometimes wait till towards the end of the penalty before putting someone in there. It looked to me like that's what the coach gambled on and it could have backfired on him. P.S. I wonder if the Revenue Canada workers will come back as a group again. ;D

Both expansion teams did it against us already. It's funny when they try to throw someone off the bench and get called for too many men, atleast the Volts coach wasn't THAT dumb. It's not the refs responsibility to make sure someone is in there, it's the coaches.

It's not the refs responsibility to make sure someone is in there, it's the coaches. In a situation where the penalized player is not eligible to come out of the box when the PP ends (i.e. misconduct tacked on, double minor with only one offsetting the other way) it is the team's responsibility to put someone else in the box to serve the penalty and then rejoin the play ... a coach can elect to not have someone in the box right away, so as not to be deprived of another player on the bench (which is kind of dumb, since most teams have at least one guy who they are pretty sure is never going to see the ice on the PK) - they can then send a player over at a subsequent whistle to serve the remainder of the penalty ... sometimes they either forget, or gamble on a whistle that never comes, in which case they must continue shorthanded until a stoppage - if they send a player from the bench, it is a minor penalty ... I seem to recall Saint John making this mistake last year at least twice against us (possibly even in the same game?), and thinking Beaulieu was clueless because of it ...

P.S. I wonder if the Revenue Canada workers will come back as a group again. ;D When they announced it, I didn't think anyone was paying attention or picked up on it... until I realized I wasn't the only one boo'ing. That was the funniest thing I ever seen/heard in the Coliseum in franchise history.
