the kid played in the top division in the czech league as a 7th d, i may be wrong but i think he played under 18 the speed of the game isn't a problem. If he sat then he would still be in practice learning the system so that isn't an excuse. He has Bezac to help with the language i think thats a poor excuse jsut like back when esa tikkinan had jarri kurri with the oilers ... there are cultral difference but once your on the ice hockey is hockey, if anything he can leave all the other things like cultral stuff off the ice off the ice when he walks through the rink doors thats the one place where he is most comfortable. They paid alot of money to bring him over and so far he hasn't done anything ... and further more he is not physical when has he thrown a big hit fight or even stand up for someone? he is just a big body i gurentee he will not be here next year so the cats should trade him and get something like a pick in return and then jsut bring over a new better euro next year now they have kyle woodleif helping the scouting will be much better

I couldn't see much of that Baca hit on the webcast. What I saw looked clean, but I assume you guys can shed some insight. No replays really sucks.

dogert - not trying tob e a jackass but it was bezak with the hit, and i to thought it was a clean shoulder to shoulder maybe a bit of a charge but at least the cats are showing tenacity tonight defently not a hit from behind ... flynn and company must be happy to have a Bezak (a euro, not racist but stereotypical that most euro's are soft) played physical. maybe as an OA we hope he will be the player karsums was

Not saying i was wrong but it was nice to see baca drop the gloves and at least try to fight fontaine ... if he does more of this and starts throwing the body he could be an effecitive 5th d ... in saying this we don't need anymore 5th d ... we need some top 1-2 defensman so babario and eastman can be 3-4 and then pinasi and gomes or boyle hard to think we will see two top d coming in this year though

also nice to see that marquart took his purse off and started playing like the power forward he is ... throwing hits and driving the net

Barberio's has played really well the past two games ... being named to the Q team against Russia appears to have given him a boost of confidence.

He did block a couple... broke his stick on one of them. His best game this year against CB.
