The Mooseheads would be sending a 3rd round pick and Garrett Peters to Drummondville.

ok NOW Halifax is the clear cut number 1 team in the league. I wasn't sure but I have been convinced.

Myself, I don't see all the hype about Pelletier. If he plays no better than Yetman then the Moose actually lose as they send away a potential 30 goal scorer and a pick for him.

I don't see it that way. This is a trade halifax had to make, because they couldn't count on Yetman playing great hockey all year and in the playoffs. Now Halifax has a goalie who has 3 years experience in the league and had awesome numbers last year as a starter on an underacheiving Drummondville team. Pelletier + Yetman > Yetman + Peters + Kennedy. Don't fool yourself- Peters would not have scored 30 goals from the 3rd line on Halifax. If he's given 1st or 2nd line ice in Drumm. he might though. The trade was still worth it.

But at the same time it could move a potential 20-24 goal scorer in Andrew White off the 4th line and give him time on the 3rd line. It's not like they lose 30 goals.

Careful... this is venturing into the chsb realm of endless replacements per line LOL I know. But I don't have Pelletier scoring any goals yet so I'm safe so far. Peters was the 3rd 20 year old forward on a team planning to contend, a team that could upgrade in nets and on D... whether it happened now or at Christmas or whether it was a goalie or a Dman, Peters wasn't going to be on the Moose after the trade deadline. The end result on the offense is very little.

I'd still say overall we likely lost "some" goals but not a noticeable amount, when you consider White seems every bit as capable of filling a role like Peters was going to (3rd line energy with some offense)
