this isn't like last year when we knew who was going to show up, this year it's anybody's guess. Hopefully you will be facing the competitive team, and to me we are matched up pretty evenly, with the slight edge going to you guys. And Gallant, Paquette knows who to stay away from, but one day it will be the wrong person. That said, prediction 5-3 EN, home team.

Catatonic , most every announcer are homers , Bathurst last week was the same. Our color guy you hit it right on the head he has not got a clue. After listening to him for awile it is almost comicial. |

Well I guess Caruthers got my check in the mail ;D, no really, what the hell is that anyway?
As for two evenly matched teams tonight, we could not of asked for any more than this. One team was 1 for 13, and the other was 1 for 8, (21 for the game, a bit much yes?) on the power play, so no evenly matched goals for either side, and that shootout was one of the longest I've seen since they started.
You guys were there, what exactly happened with the Bundil thing, not letting him shoot the shootout? I heard the whistle, he stopped and came back to the circle, and that was it. I love these games win or lose, but I hate shootouts.

If Despres would of scored that i would have went on the ice and did a lil break dance that was nuts. Gallant said he was good at shootouts and he got his chance.

Refereeing was BRUTAL. Lewy had 13 PPs and Saint John had 8 PPs. 4 straight penalties in the 3rd that were horrible calls. Dido gets punched in the face, penalty for him. Anthony has the puck gets hauled down, penalty for him. Dido on a breakaway, gets hooked and can't get the shot off, no penalty.
That had to be the slowest game of the year. Once it went to a shootout, I knew we weren't going to get the better of Bernier, he made a sweet save on Grant. Wonder how it would have been if Dido and Liske weren't in the box during the shootout.
And who the hell calls 3 penalties in OT, let them play ref. 25 minor penalties for both teams.

Word around Harbour Station had the referee supervisor going down to the referee room with numerous "fine sheets", after the game.

Would love to see if that was true but sadly, we will probably never know. Just don't let him ref a game at HS anymore.
A guy in front of me said he has been to tons of Moosehead games in Halifax and never seen anything like that.
