DOGS READY TO ROAR ON ‘HOWL-OWEEN NIGHT’ AT HARBOUR STATION Hot on the heels of an incredibly dramatic come-from-behind victory over the St. John’s Fog Devils on Sunday afternoon, the Saint John Sea Dogs hit the ice again Tuesday evening for a 7:00pm showdown with the Lewiston MAINEiacs at Harbour Station.
Saint John is currently 2-1 against the MAINEiacs this season, having won their past two matches versus the defending President’s Cup Champions by scores of 6-1 (on Sept. 23 at Harbour Station) and 3-1 (on Oct. 24 at Androscoggin Bank Coliseum) respectively.
Payton Liske and Chris DiDomencio have combined for 4G-6A-10P against Lewiston this season. Liske set DiDomenico up for the game-winning goal against the MAINEiacs last Wednesday, a game in which Robert Mayer made 18 saves on 19 shots to earn the victory in net for Saint John.
Off the ice, Tuesday night’s game will showcase several Halloween-themed activities, highlighted by a costume exhibition during the first intermission that will feature a prize being awarded to a lucky fan. Fans will also have the chance to pose for photos with Sea Dogs players and various special guest mascots during the first intermission behind Section P of the arena; complimentary candy will be provided as well.
Tickets to Tuesday night’s contest are available online or by calling the Harbour Station Box Office at 657-1234.

Can we expect a game as exciting as the last one....or will the team have a hard time matching the intensity of a MAINEiacs team that is looking for some payback? To get down early in this one would certanly not be a good thing, as they have one of the best goaltending tandems in the Q this year...I wonder if Bernier gets the start tonight , I am guessing yes, and he will be out to get his revenge for the Dogs stealing his thunder last week in his return from the big time...too bad for them that the intimidation factor from last year doesn't seem to be as evident as it was before. Last season we were lucky to compete against them, this year the two teams look to be more evenly matched and should make for a real good game tonight...Looking for the top line to be back together and to pick up where they were...3-1 Sea Dogs, with goals from Dido, Liske and Howes on the special teams with the shorty.GO DOGS GO!!!

My bad, was just going by the not so current standings at the top of the page. I forgot they got updated once a month. Alot of the times, the banner doesn't change, until you hit the refresh button. The stats are updated usually in the evening after the teams in the Eastern Division are finished playing.

If Sparling plays, hopefully Gallant sits simply because everyone seems to be working hard right now.
I think
Liske - Sparling - Dido Leduc - Picard - Gauthier Charland - Anthony - Howes Thomas - Stoddard - Kirkpatrick
We can't really cut a PKer, and everyone else provides offense. Luckily Lewy has no enforcer, so Brett can sit.

Beaulieu said if Stich doesn't play he may go with 5 D. I bet that is what he does. Thus Gallant plays. I think playing Gallant is a good idea for this game. Keeps people like Paquette and Marshall in line. Plus with how that whole 4th line played last game against Lewiston, they all deserve to play again against them.

We have the D to go with 5, but how do you work the forwards?

Dido needs 4 points to hit 100 for his career.

We have the D to go with 5, but how do you work the forwards? The easy answer would be to ease Sparling back into the lineup. Play him on the PP and some of the top line regular shifts. Then take someone like a Stoddard or Kirkpatrick, use them for PKs and whatever shifts Sparling does not take.
