First of all, I'd like to appologize to everyone who had to read this group. Emanuel didn't create no group, I did. Just as Travis did one night, he made a mistake, this was mine. No where's is it near the same mistake however, a mistake is a mistake. I'd like to appologize to Travis, and all of his friends. Truth is, I'm not a bad guy and I'm sure neither is Travis. Just a hockey rivalry gone too far. There's three things I hate in the world, people who drink and drive, people who play for Le Titan and people who play for the Sea Dogs. My stupid little head figured "This guy qualifies for 2 of these points, holy shit" Maybe Travis learned his lesson, maybe he didn't, but it doesn't matter, it's not my responsibility to teach him. Once again, I appologize and I'd like for everyone to leave this group. I understand that you all hate me and hate me you should. If anyone wants to discuss this further please send me a private message and I'll be more then happy to explain myself further.

Everything is all settled, Travis and I had a talk. It won't happen again.
As for the yelling during the national anthem, I love it how we were singled out, I've actually never even said it at a home game I don't think but if you go to any other rink you hear it all the time. In Quebec City they tried to drown out the national anthem with a Go Remparts go chant. Watch NHL games, they do it too.

That's the thing, it won't be settled. He'll get drunk, and do it all over again next time he goes to Harbour Station. Maybe Leduc will actually stick him in the face this time.

Happened last year too, I do believe. maybe they should have a police officer or something near the players tunnel. i know often in the Moncton Coliseum they'll bring a cop down on the players bench to try and maintain order. i don't think the ushers at harbour station even try to keep fans in control. almost like they're afraid, not to mention how kids run all over the place there too

I think the QMJHL policy actually states that an RCMP officer must be present by the officials and visiting team entrances at all time.

Pretty pointless if you ask me, if things get out of control they don't really have that much protection, or that much force to break it up. Atleast with police they can bust out the baton and tazer.

I'm all for drunken rowdiness, just not during anthems. I use that time to think about all the men and women who died so that I can be a drunken fool.

Than you're more of an idiot than he ever dreamed of being.......the kid made a mistake, admitted to it, apologized for it, even went as far as apologizing to the player, which is huge IMO........that makes him a bigger man in my books than you will ever be, from reading your posts in this thread.......

I agree ... I'm impressed by the admission of guilt and the apology ... but its also time for him and others to grow up and leave the players alone ... in person and on these boards. Its one thing to discuss a players on ice play and how good or bad he is ... but its another to discuss his personal life and the problems he might be dealing with. All of us have made mistakes in our lives that we would all hope we can learn from and put behind us ... the last thing we need is some yahoo yelling in our face about it. Somehow I doubt Pens23 is such an angel that he has never made a mistake that could get him in trouble ... he probably just hasn't been caught yet. On the subject of our laws regarding driving under the influence of alcohol ... they leave alot to be desired. The fact that you are allowed to drive under the influence of alcohol ... under 0.08 BAC ... is what causes many people to make the wrong decision. If the magic number was zero the decision to drive or not drive is an easy one ... if you had even one beer you should find another way home ... according to the law. Plus ... If I have two beers one day over a 2 hr period ... I might be under 0.08 ... but another day drinking the same amount over the same time period I might just be over 0.08. Personally I can't calculate it myself ... I don't know what my BAC is when I need to make that decision. And thats the problem with the law ... it requires that I know when I am over or under 0.08. The simple solution is don't drive if you've had even one drink. Now ... how many people on this board have had a beer at the hockey game ... and driven home after ? I am going to guess that its a majority ... I have ... and many people that I meet up with at the game do the same. Do you have any idea what your BAC was when you drove home ? Have you ever had yourself tested to see how many drinks it takes for you to be over 0.08 ? How will you ever know if you are over the limit or not ? The Rules of thumb don't work for everybody ... how do you know they apply to you ?

A police officer had told me a long while back that on average a 200 lb man will metabolise the alcohol of about 1 drink per hour (1 beer, 1 glass of wine or 1 oz of hard liquor) and remain under the legal limit. For a smaller person, it takes longer. At the time, weighed about 115 lbs (I was so skinny at the time that if I was constipated you could see just by looking at me where I was plugged ;D ;D ) and he told me that it would take me about 2 hours to metabolise the alcohol of one beer.
This is just what he told me and a few friends when we were teens. He could have been shitting us.
