Everything is all settled, Travis and I had a talk. It won't happen again. As for the yelling during the national anthem, I love it how we were singled out, I've actually never even said it at a home game I don't think but if you go to any other rink you hear it all the time. In Quebec City they tried to drown out the national anthem with a Go Remparts go chant. Watch NHL games, they do it too. It's always bothered me and always will. I'm all for drunken rowdiness, just not during anthems. I use that time to think about all the men and women who died so that I can be a drunken fool. I have to be drunk to do that? I wasn't at all drunk when I yelled and neither was the other guy who yelled it, ironically he was the driver that night too And yelling after the game, it was still wrong however, all that was said was "Drive me home Travis". People who knew the story understood it and that included Travis, which was all I needed, I still regret it but it's done. I'm done posting in this thread and like I said, if anyone wants to bitch at me or anything feel free to PM me, except for chillywack, I'm unable to read your pms as I've blocked you because you're opinion to me means nothing.

If that's truly all that was said then I really don't see what the big deal is at all.

Wow this thread has sure taken off over the last day and a half. Haven't been on the boards since early yesterday afternoon due to a lot of work, so anyways...
Not going to let Pens take all the rap for the post-game incident. What was yelled certainly wasn't overly bad but I agree with what most people have said on here that it was stupid and uncalled for to yell at him after the game was over. While we were sitting close to the Sea Dogs bench there was still no need for us to have ended up as close to the tunnel as we did. Quite frankly I'm embarrassed to have been a part of it and I'm sorry for all who had to witness it.
Now...
One poster on here in particular seems intent on dragging Pens23's name through the mud as much as possible which is ridiculous. Unlike this poster I'm not going to name name's but I think everyone knows who I mean and I think he should get off his high horse. Is he forgetting that he called a Halifax fan a "fat cow" to her face at a game last year? That he spent an entire 3rd period beating a visiting fan on top of the head with a pop bottle for no reason at all? Just a couple examples, but come on buddy you're no model citizen by any means.

None of us are model citizens ... and I think thats the point that you are missing. We all make mistakes ... and we usually know when we have made a mistake and regret it ... as you and Pens have shown above. But now you are just doing the same thing you did to Travis Fullerton ... beating him up for his mistakes ... you should have just stopped after your first paragraph because your second paragraph just ruined what you had set out in the first paragraph. A pop bottle and name calling incident have absolutely nothing to do with this discussion.

Did I react just because I didn't like seeing that a friend was supposedly going to get his ass kicked even AFTER apologizing? Maybe. Anyways I know the guy in question personally and in retrospect the board probably wasn't the best place for what I was trying to say in the 2nd paragraph. He knows I wasn't "beating him up" but was just a little annoyed at his attitude after Pens apology. Clearly I did a poor job of conveying that point on here which is why I know realize it was better suited to a more private means of communication.

I hope nobody beats up Penguins since he will be owing me beer at the end of the season I beat him in NHL 08 easily. That's good enough for me.
