That shows your Hockey Knowledge.......... From the rumour mill, the only offer the Mooseheads got for Knotek was from Vald'Or and "supposedly" Knotek declined to report there. If Knotek was not a looked for commodity this season at 19, why on earth would he be worth an offer at 20 taking 2 spots? There is a gap between Svoboda and knotek, that you admit it or not.....plus the Titan did not give anything away for Svoboda. Knotek wouldn't report to Bathurst as Bathurst isn't going to be a bonafide contender next year anyways.

You can't dismiss Knotek on the moose board... clearly he is a superstar without help lol
all joking aside.... if he was not worth much this year on the trade market you will be lucky to get anything of value for him this year... especially after teams have already drafted their Euros and see if they show up
you may get decent return for him mid-season next year if he shows up and dominates in the early going next season
one thing is for sure... if he is planning to stay in NA... he should be in the Q as a 20.. and a top tier overager for you....
here's a scenario nobody has talked about.... what if you keep your euro pick draft a star sniper... keep Knotek as an overager... and deal Abelshauser?

I would rather keep Konrad as he is going to be a top pairing defenceman in thsi league and that is even if we keep Clarke- keeping Tomas is counterproductive in the grand scheme of things IMO.

Abeltshauser was far too good for the Moose this year for them to consider that. He's a big piece going forward. I think he should have been rookie of the year (though Gelinas had a very good year as well) and probably got some consideration for defenseman of the year. He was playing 25 minutes as a somewhat raw 17 year old, he's has great upside. I think a lot of things would have to fall into place for them not to go with a new euro next year and keep knotek. I think they would have to get a great offer for the 3rd overall euro pick. I think they would need a solid offer for a guy like Grant and/or their other 20 year olds. And I think they would want a plan in place for '11-'12 and who will replace Knotek as their Euro... maybe Rimouski wants to contend next year and a deal can be worked out to get Straka as a future, something like that.
