Well, tonight we find out if this team still has a pulse.
I predict a huge game from Roy and an offensive breakout for at least 1 of our top guns to hopefully shift some momentum up front and in on their D rather then the opposite we've seen the last game and a half or so.
You'd think losing a player as talented as Kabanov would be a huge benefit to us but it sounds like Moncton's leaders are using it as motivation(at Steve said, they came to life after his "incident") as if they don't have enough already.
You know the Wildcats are smelling blood, but you have to think our Eagles are going to be ready for their first home playoff game and looking forward to right the wrongs of the first 2 games. At least I hope they are, anyway.
Go Eagles!

On the plus side, things aren't perfect on Moncton's side either. The highly-hyped Kirill Kabanov has been basically sent home for probably the rest of the playoffs - he's scheduled now to play for Russia at next month's World U-18 Championship. Since he was benched in the 2nd period of game 1 ... we have scored 11 unanswered goals on you .... soooooooo ... with him in the line up we are behind 3-1 ... with him out of the lineup we are up 11-0. I'm just saying ... How the heck is he gonna be a 1st round NHL pick with facts like that?

I don't know why but I really feel that we are going to win tonight. MacNeil will score 2 and I think Lagace is due.....lol Also, we will get a too many men penalty, and a Moncton player will be injured.
Eagles 5-2!!!!

I think the Eagles are going to come out like a house on fire tonight and play a solid game. I expect Adam to have a big game and with last change it will be interesting to see what Mario does for match-ups. I also think that the line of Dion-MacDougall-Legault will be reunited because of the fact we have last change. I think that Mario tryed to hard to split them up on the road and it didn't work out as well.

Unfortunately I'm out of town for both these games.
Appears to be a good game thus far with CB outhitting the Cats by a large margin and no score.....
until late in the 2nd period with a giveaway and Deschamps goes in and scores.....
WE NEED SOME SCORING LIFE!!!!! COME ON GUYS!!!!!

ok, I'll say it now.....done like dinner where's our top scorers? what's happened to this team? What a waste of assets at the trade deadline They actually played a very good game but just could not finish at all. Adam hit two posts and Lagace missed a great chance in tight as well. It sucks too lose after the way they battled back.

Moncton's 2nd goal was almost like a 5 on 5 power play with Luke Adam laying on the ice in the Moncton end and finally getting back to his own bench as Moncton scored on their 3rd shot.
Taylor MacDougall's line did a good job of keeping Tessier's line off the score sheet. Our D battled hard all night and a great many players gave it everything they had. Olivier Roy certainly gave the Eagles every chance to win with his play. I don't think any Eagles' can find fault with the overall team effort because they deserved to win in many ways.
I was surprised that Moncton up 2 games to 0, basically played 2 lines all night! Unless those players are in much better shape than the Eagles they may be gassed tomorrow night!
Since I mentioned being gassed some Eagle players should not be on the ice for more than 30 seconds because they look gassed after that. There are some disturbing plus / minus stats!

great game by the eagles, but good teams like moncton find a way to win even when they are outplayed , outshot etc. I Think Luke Adam was overplayed and he does not have the cardio he should. Legault is a true grit leader and a warrior. Ellis is a future superstar, and the eagles played like they should always play. If they played like this in moncton thier backs would not be up against the wall. they can all be proud of that performance. Monctons coach is very smart. We will see what kind of shape they are in tomorrow. the fat lady has not sung yet, but tuning up/
