With Lewiston shipping Roy to Bathurst (have no idea why, but whatever) I'm wondering does that bring the Lewy into the picture as potential trade partners for Corbeil?
Couple reasons why I think it might:
1) They still need a goalie, and with Roy done in the Q after this season, they might look to Corbeil as an option as he's got a better chance to play as a 20.
2) They have a glut of good young forwards that would be of interst to us.
3) Along with needing a goalie they are thin on the backend. Beyond Finn and Carrier they have a bunch of no names. We happen to have some defensive depth, and young guys too, who would fit with their young core.
4) I think Cam would be more motivated in trading out of division. That's not to say if a good deal is there with a divisional team he wouldn't make it, but all things being equal, you'd rather trade out of division with any signifigant deal.
Some food for thought anyway.
Sounds possible but trading O-R would make it look like Lewi has '11-'12 as the clear year that they want to contend and not this year coming. They have an pretty average group of '90-'91s (19 and 20 year olds) but have a much better group of '92-'93s. Basically sounds like the Metro article talking about a number of teams looking towards the Memorial Cup year and not this year and so there are a number of good vets being shopped around.
For those that are set up for it, it look like a good year to contend and that prices for buyers might be good.
Lewi may have no interest in Corbeil unless they see him as a 20 year old.
