I thought Carrier looked pretty good in the game on PEI on Friday night.... couple of points, good speed. cb Wrong Carrier, that is his older brother. William is 15 years old, bigger and faster then his brother.

Loic Leduc - He is big with an awkward stride, no strength on skates. I think he is better off developing somewhere other then Cape Breton. That's not really a fair statement....could you not argue that point for every player on this team? The kid hasn't even been here for a week...for all we know this will be the perfect environment for him to develop in with the possibility of regular ice time at a young age. Well it all depends on what your goals are for this season. If you are looking to put the best team on the ice then not a chance he should be on the team. If you want to use this season as a development season for a run next year, then yes I would possibly take the risk and send that Ontario kid back. He looks like he could add 50 pounds on that frame.

Really liked what I saw yesterday afternoon.
I am beyond stoked to see Jodoin/Plouffe paired with some veterans. These kids have some serious skill. Another player who REALLY impressed me was Grenier. Whats his deal? I didn't even notice this guy or hear anything about him until yesterday afternoon.
Farrell is great. He's going to need to play a Cuzner style game if he's going to survive in the league though. He's sooooo small.
Was upset that I didn't get to see Millman throw some punches. His line looked pretty mediocre to me. Millman/Cocorahn/Boutlier. At times it looked like Millman didn't even want to be there.
Leduc needs to bulk up, but, that goes without saying. He's a gritty version of Brodeur. Maybe he'll actually throw a check every now and again.
Guindon was decent. I've only seen him play one game, a pre-season game, so, maybe my opinion will change as the season progresses, but, he doesn't really seem like an upgrade on Bernard/Bourgeois to me.
Whats the deal with the other Euro? Visa issues?

Just found some stats from 2005 for Grenier. I know that is 5 years ago, but, still pretty shocking:
2005 Les Hawks Atome A GP G A PTS PPG SHG PIM 9 28 12 40 0 0 4
40 POINTS IN 9 GAMES!!!! hahaha That is insane.

When the camp invites were released I posted how getting this guy to your camp was a huge win for the Eagles...who knows if he will stick around, but hes still 16 until November and he has size and decent skills.

The Eagles do have some pretty intriguing forwards in the 16-18 range. Those are the 'building blocks' as Mario says. Plouffe, Shaw, Jodoin, Cuzner, Parker, Farrell, W Carrier, Boutilier, Cochrane...could be forgetting someone obvious in that group...

Plouffe is having a dynamite camp - creates a scoring chance on almost every shift so far, it's hard to believe he wasn't on last year's team. Although he was asked to join the team after Xmas, but decided not to so as to complete some school commitments. The Carriers are getting a lot of people talking so far - whether or not they're on this year's team, it seems clear one or both is in the Eagles' long-term future.

I think Plouffe and Jodoin not being on the team last year was pivitol for their development. Seems like they've really matured and stepped up their game. I don't recall them being THIS good last year. I thought the team put in a great effort yesterday afternoon. Throw in our vets and I think we'll have a decent team this year. As long as they're hard working/give it 110% every night, every shift, I'll be happy.

According to Willy Palov's Twitter, your complete roster is set to go as of this morning.. He mentions the only surprises to make it were Alex Carrier, Nate Engert, and J-K Grenier.
Final cuts were Jake Guindon, Alex Powell, Brandon Boutilier, Chris Riguse, Blake Millman, William Cochrane and Dylan McQuaid.

Is brodeur such a lock to play in the ahl? I thought there would have been a chance he would be sent back for another year.
