Why not, I could have picked nearly the full team based on that one viewing. A lot of poor hockey players. On defense may be the toughest choices, who will hurt the team the least because there is no talent on the back end.

One is NHL drafted and one was invited to the under 18 team Canada camp. Not to mention JS Fournier had a solid year last year. Don't get me wrong this is not a top defence but to say there is no talent at all is far fetched.

Brutal ? LaLa you can do better than that ! Lets take a gander... Based on the guys listed on the Q site... Brodeur -- he is 20 and turning pro so i omitted him from the discussion. Of the guys left who arent cut.. Ellis, love the kid, always have Woodworth, really like him, thought he was underrated when he was on Valley JS Fournier, after you picked him in 2008 i said he was a steal. Leduc, said he was a good pick, a project. Powell, like I said before camp started, he was a great invite and he should make your team The rest after that are brutal....and even then Powell is 18 and doing well now but who knows how well he will adjust to full lineups.

Loic Leduc - He is big with an awkward stride, no strength on skates. I think he is better off developing somewhere other then Cape Breton.
Jake Guindon - Lack's hockey sense and got himself out of position numerous times. There has to be a better 20 year old on the market for little.
JS Fournier - He was a little undersized but a good skater, I thought he looked pretty good.
That Ontario kid from Guelph had one turnover but other then that looked much better then Guindon. Smaller, stockier and more physical.
Nate Engert - For an Alberta boy I expected a bruiser, this guy wasn't a hard hitter and lacks foot speed. Had a few nice breakout passes though.
Stephen Woodworth - Is a good mid pair defensmen. Not flashy but gets the job done. The fact that he is our second best defensmen shows where we are right now.

LALA What is your take on Carrier, this kid doesn't turn 16 until mid December, has NHL size already and had one of the better strides up front with good speed. I don't see how it's possible he wasn't a first round pick in the QMJHL draft based on what I seen yesterday. This kid will be a star in this league before his draft (2013)

I think he is better off developing somewhere other then Cape Breton. That's not really a fair statement....could you not argue that point for every player on this team? The kid hasn't even been here for a week...for all we know this will be the perfect environment for him to develop in with the possibility of regular ice time at a young age.
