why would you keep some borderline vets who aren't performing how they should now, let them potentially waste away 3 months rather than letting some good young guys have some experience in a rebuilding year?

why would you keep some borderline vets who aren't performing how they should now, let them potentially waste away 3 months rather than letting some good young guys have some experience in a rebuilding year? Because the vet deserves some real Q action to prove themselves and in 3 months if you cast him aside chances are slim he comes back to haunt you. Just being here is experience for the young guys, being in the hockey first environment every day and on the ice regularly working with our coaches and trainers.
