So is it possible that the Mooseheads could trade for #1 overall pick Pavel Zacha, drafted by the Sarnia Sting? His agent says he won't report this year, but it's possible he could change his mind and play in the CHL at 19?

So is it possible that the Mooseheads could have traded Jack Eichel to London last year instead to Saint John??? He said he wouldn't report to the Q and was going to BU. Answer = NOPE

Answer = NOPE We didn't trade Eichel, we relinquished his rights so we could get a second round pick.

Selfishly I hope he sticks with us. But he's a great kid, and if he makes Winnipeg, I wish all the best for him.

I think he'll be sent back to Halifax; I think it's 70-30 he's sent back.

Ehlers' weekend:
The Good:
The Bad: Ehlers didn't play this afternoon due to a lower body injury. Can't find how severe it is.

I found this tweet:
Rick Fritschy ?@retromodern2 1h Nik Ehlers looked fluid warming up today and didn't appear to have any real issues , I hope and expect he plays in tomorrows game. 6:14 PM - 14 Sep 2014

One thing about these rookie tournaments is that you could have a hangnail and they'd keep you out of the lineup. Zero chances taken.

He's worrying me but it's looking more likely he won't be back this season, but I guess once the main camp opens it may be a different story more experienced players and they did send Drouin back. For now we may as well get used to life without Drouin and Ehlers because from what I'm reading he's looked really good in the rookie camp.

looking more likely he won't be back anytime soon I could see him sticking ... he has NHL speed and great hands. The only reason he should come back IMO is to add some size.
