Would not mind picking up either Tremblay or Whitney, if the price is right. Don't think 20 year old goalies are worth too much at this time of the year. Good for buying 20yr old goalies but also bad for selling, CB, flooded market. Strange to see a team with 3 roster goalies and 2 20yr olds.

I would not mind overpaying for Whitney. Guy is a beast in the crease.
Tremblay played well after being traded to Victo but he seemed shaky before.
Mooseinfo , the selling is not going to matter. If another 20 year old goalie is brought in and they get nothing for Brassard he would be cut.
Not convinced they will trade for another goalie though. Another 20 would be an attempt at a short term fix but ultimately it will be best to get a goalie that CB can get two years out of.

Cheap upgrade for now... like mentioned 20 year old market flooded... Victo pretty much have backs against the wall to move one or the other
You have excess picks... deal one and see what happens
edit too late i guess Gatineau already got Whitney

Question: We have been talking Goalie for a few days. Brassard got first star last game while Sullivan played very well last two time Brassard was pulled also Sullivan was third star yet did not get to play the next game. Now, who will play the game Nov. 8 at Rimouski and them the game with Bathurst Nov 09? Are we just going to keep playing Brassard and losing games by one or two goals or do we change the momentum of the team and at the same time give Sullivan the some experience?? In my opinion it would also give Brassard a chance to reflect on his playing. Experience would give Sullivan consistency and that is for any goalie. We need several wins and we have five good games coming up to Nov. 15 This is our chance to make things move in our favour!

What Dumont is definitely going to do: Play Brassard for both games probably, he seems to be convinced that he isn't playing like shit, when he is costing us valuable points.

Just wanna point out one thing then back away a few years back when Durocher loaded up and you guys went out early.... with arguably a top 5 team on paper.... most posters were all over that approach as being a terrible mistake this year with an arguably top 5 team on paper but a team currently barely in a playoff spot in the actual standings.... the argument is buy buy buy... or it would be a terrible mistake that is all I've yet to see 1 poster advocate for buying 1 year rentals. The argument being made by myself is to start buying for next year now. Similar to how Charlottetown acquired some of its current core players by moving picks it acquired for players that filled important needs like a #1 Goaltender. The 2 situations are so uncomparable it's laughable. Plus the last year you were buyers there were 2 powerhouses in the division and you had to beat 1 just to get out of the 1st round. Quite a different situation.

Fully agree with giving Sullivan a chance. He is not the long term answer, but I thought he played quite well early in the season when Brassard was away. Right now Brassard looks like he is disinterested, why not, he knows Dumont is going to go with him no matter how bad he plays, no challenge to him. If he is going to be the number 1 goalie, make him earn it, we are quickly falling down the ladder in the standings, what do we have to lose? IMO, when Darcy came back, Dumont should have dumped Brassard and kept Legare, again, what do we have to lose?

It will be interesting to see how the Maritime division looks in a month...
SJ appears to have over achieved, can they continue?
Is Moncton a top tier team or mid pack? They have looked like both at times.
Is Charlottetown going to be a buyer or stand pat.
Is Cape Breton a contender or mid pack?
Halifax seems to be climbing, I still see them as a seller.
Bathurst is probably worst than people anticipated but near the bottom.
SJ's rise has muddied the water a bit...

If they get it going again and are mid pack or higher(8th or higher)I could see them being a buyer but for guys that will be back next year. They have lots of assets to move.

Sullivan was suspended last game. Yes Sullivan was suspended the last game however the game he replaced Brassard before the game in Sydney he did play very well and i think he ended with 3rd star however the next game Brassard was the starter just saying no excuse not to start Sullivan Nov. 9th. If i read your comment the way u meant it.

I would agree Brassard needs to earn the number one spot or give the spot to the goalie who plays the best for the team. I would also agree that trading Legare was not the best move we could have made he was one of our top two way players who was in fact close to Darcy in my opinion. But, to be fair, its easy to look back and make a call. You are correct however we can only go up from here and we need to try something for sure.
