If that’s the case then hopefully they can change Mueller’s mind and get him to come back next year. Wasn’t Rochette in a similar situation last year (i.e. signed a contract with the NL before his 20 year old season but came back to the Q anyway)? He's gonna play pro, back home for a good amount of money. I really doubt he'll change his mind tbh. I think its easy to get blinded as a Q fan and think why on earth wouldnt he want to come back and playing on a potential championship team with guys like Morin/Desnoyers/Loshing etc in a great rink but then you realize that he can start making a good salary right away, play near his home and family and play in front of an atmosphere like this. Hard to say no to that.

And there is a surplus of quality overagers next season so could acquire at a reasonable cost

Hard to say no to that. The balancing act is how much will he play on that team at 20. On a powerhouse team he may play 8-10 min per game. Weaker club 15-16 minutes.

Was anyone able to convince Ted Nolan to stick around for the rest of the year? Would love to see him behind our bench again

17 wins and 16 losses at Avenir. Pretty impressive to be that mediocre on home ice with a team that's 6th overall.

Didn’t he just miss some games a week or two ago?

Lousbury made nice strides this year but seemed to hit a wall in early February. Should be a strong top 6 guy going forward.

It appears Desnoyers will represent Canada as an underager at the U18s in Finland.
Busy summer for him as he will no doubt also represent Canada at the Hlinka tournament in August.
