^^Anxiously waiting for the Portland vs Halifax debate ala 2013.
Seriously though, I can always count on the CHL top 10 to bring a smile on an otherwise dull day.

Off-Topic but he’s an early prospect update so far.
Associate player Sam Madgett is off to a pretty hot start with his new team the Halifax Macs, 0.50GAA .977% in 4 games so far.
Aidan Bent has 3 goals 7 assists in 6 games with the Valley Wildcats. Liam Welsh has 1 goal 5 assists in 6 games with the Truro Bearcats
Eddy Doyle who very well be on his way here next year already surpassed his goals total from last season and has 3 goals 2 assists in only three games with the Kensington Wild Major Midget team.
Alec Nasreddine who could be a potential player next season is playing in Dallas, Texas for the Dallas Stars Elite 16U AAA and has 3 goals, 2 assists in 8 games. The team has developed a fair number of solid players including Detroit Prospect Cross Hanas who after one U16 season there went to the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL, obviously an American franchise however. Not saying Nas will equal the same numbers if he came into the Q but he could be a decent player.
And finally Mathis Laplante who opened some eyes at camp is in his second year of Quebec Major Midget and is lighting it up with 6 goals, 5 assists in 9 games which beats both his goal and assist totals in 42 games last season.

Halifax sits at #2 in the CHL rankings. Portland, Halifax, and London all in the top 3, oh boy that brings back the memories… Saskatoon is also in there too! Too bad the tournament is in Saginaw, Michigan this year lol

Good news for the Mooseheads, Dumais likely being sent down when he’s healthy.

Good news for the Mooseheads, Dumais likely being sent down when he’s healthy. While an NHL team can send the player back to their junior team to practice, they cannot technically cut the player if they are injured (there is an injury exemption for the 40 game rule, if I'm not mistaken for that specific case). That being said, the question here is whether he is "injured" so that Columbus can keep him up a little longer. If the entire intent is to get a few weeks with him practicing with the NHL team, maybe play an AHL game or two and come back, I don't see why he needs to be listed as "injured".

Could be as simple as managing the roster size. They're at the regular season max of 23 now with Dumais (and a couple others) on injury lists.

A guy on Facebook by the name of Matt Nugent left a reply on a Facebook comment saying Jordan Dumais will be flying into Halifax on Friday but unsure if he’ll be playing or not, Stating he got a personal connection. Let’s see if he’s right.
EDIT: he deleted the comment.

Take the deleted comment whichever way you want. Could have been BS or he could have been contacted by someone close saying "that's not your news to give".
Even if its true and he is flying home Friday I doubt you see him in the lineup Friday night. Saturday night could be a possibility. All speculation of course.

Well so far it looks like it was some guy who thought he was funny. I believe we would have heard something from either CBJ or Halifax by now. Or they announce it today and he goes on the plane right away.

We’re going to be down Liam Kilfoil for 2 weeks in November as he represents Canada Red at the World U17. Hopefully Crosby is back. He’s young but a crucial center for us, but good luck to him! Great opportunity.
