I was going to ask the same question re: crossovers. I thought they exclusively crossed over in the past, so I guess this has changed considering they are slated to play Baie Comeau if Drummondville wins their series.

It’s not technically a cross over, they just seed them 1-4, bc is 1 and cb likely 4 unless Sherbrooke wins

So now seeing that Sherbrooke just forced game six with Drummondville, who would YOU rather face? Victoriaville or Baie-Comeau

Given the distance I'm surprised game 5 isn't in Cape Breton.

Given the distance I'm surprised game 5 isn't in Cape Breton. League rules are that the semi-final and the final are both 2-2-1-1-1.

Yeah it really levels the playing field and provides better matchups for the league to avoid those situations with 2 dominant teams on 1 side facing in the semi's. Costs some added money with the added return flight but the product is much better off.

Just a couple of sleeps from a date with the Drakkar, a couple of things I would like to see.
Reunite the Lavelle-Roy-Romeo line, Robitaille moved away from them for a bit vs CHI, get them back together. I was not a fan of Romeo/Burbidge/Houde, it forces Romeo to do all the heavy lifting and as a result, he gets less net front time and fewer options for his shot.
On the road, I would go 11/7. On the 4th I would have Fullerton/Patterson and then use Houde, Shortall, Lavellee, Squires, Newcombe whoever you want and it gives you 3 lines behind the MacDonald line that can play against anyone as a shutdown line. At home you can slide back to 12/6 if you like as the last change can get you the match ups you want.
I am taking the Eagles in 6, thus avoiding a game 7 in BC.
The Drakkar are a very good puck possession team, they would rather carry it than dump it and they use the O-zone better than any team with cycles and puck recoveries. If the Eagles can win their share of wall battles and own the net front, they could just find themselves in the league final I expect a great series by both teams. Go Eagles!

Baie Comeau has a deep team who finished first for a reason. They are a great team with talent, and unlike Chicoutimi, have a veteran presence throughout the whole lineup. Their D will not give up a lot of space.
The Gill, Poirier, and Levovsky have a lot of talent and determination. Guys like the Boilard Brothers have a lot of talent too, but have not been contributing quite as much as I figured they would or could be.
CB has a lot of the above and certainly are playing above where they finished in the standings. BC did not have much of any scare all year, but if this team plays D like we seen and keeps playing like a responsible defensive unit in all zones with help from Ruccia, then I think CB is capable of giving BC something to worry about.
