On defense I think there is a gap after Barberio and Savard. Gormley and Jodoin are playing like veterans but at some point the length of the season could wear on them. Dimitruk is doing pretty good but Boyle is not playing like what you need from a 19 year old, I'm sure Voynov would be a pretty sizeable upgrade on him. Wow...totally disagree on Boyle-I'm more than pleased with his presence in the lineup. It would be a very tough call for me on who to sit if Voinov actually did get assigned here. Cameron is the disappointment for me-he would be on very thin ice with me right now if I was the coach.I would try Famin Stevens and Eagles on line #1 while we have the injuries.I'd then try Cameron with Brown and Lahey and Bissonnette with Lessard and Brannon.

Not sure what you are expecting from Cameron, I see him around a PPGM and he is there right now. He's doing well on faceoffs and on PK also. To me he is clearly better than last year.

The first thing I noticed in the shawinigan game was the big improvement in Camerons skating, he seemed to be flying out there I barely recognized him.

To me it's not just the skating per se but he is quicker to pressure the puck and attack when he has it. I think it's a combination of being physically quicker and having a more agressive mindset.

At the very least,I would expect a 3rd year Q-player,that's been NHL drafted to not make a blind pass when he's last man back to give up an easy break away...

At the very least,I would expect a 3rd year NHL drafted player to not make a blind pass when he's last man back to give up an easy break away... Clearly this wasn't his best game. It looked like he was trying to finesse too much which ended up with him turning over the puck numerous times. Like it was said, his play has improved over last year and I am happy to see more aggressive play on the puck from him.
