All we can assume is that Biduke did or said something off-ice that was completely unacceptable to Flynn. I don't think it had anything to do with his in-game performance thus far or his conditioning.....it was likely the result of an unexpected incident. We probably won't know exactly what happened, we should move on as I'm sure the team is doing. I don't think Lahey was, at the time, brought in as a Biduke replacement....he was simply given the chance to show what he can do while Biduke/Sill get healthy. So, can Biduke be traded for anyone, or only other 20 year olds or draft picks? Maybe someone can clarify how that works considering the regular trading window is closed. At this point Biduke has to either fetch us another 20(which I highly doubt) or a draft pick. We could then send that draft pick at Christmas somewhere to get a roster player or prospect. I'd rather get the pick than the prospect. They already have a few guys knocking on the door for next year and Biduke at this point would only fetch a 4th to 6th so it would not be a big time prospect.

Who are you talking about, Biduke or Eagles? If you are referring about Eagles, Yes, Leahy could do A LOT WORSE!!! [/quote] Please list me all the positives that Eagles bring to the PP. He is a 20 yr old average at best player. If your going to play Cameron you should have a shooter on the ice or a big guy in front of the net ie Brannon... Please don't list his shot, vision or smooth hands.....

I am a little confused. If you cut Biduke, as a 20 yo, that means he is put on waivers immediatly. Yet some are talking about trading him? Yes, no?

His shot is one of the best on the team as are his hands.

Yes, no? 20 YOs don't have to go on waivers until sometime in February. We can't carry 4 on the roster but we can carry 4 on the protected list. BJimaho will now step in and tell us of a newspaper article that proves that to be wrong ... but just ignore him ... he has no clue.

For eagles i find lately hes not playing very well... and if cameron needs a big shooter.. what would you think of a power play with lessard cameron and brannon with gormely and barberio... that way you go two big body with lessard and brannon and cameron can play make .. just a suggestion

I thought Biduke was great in front of the net on the PP but Flynn seems to have other ideas.

A few things I found strange about the 20 yo situation
Biduke made it well known last year he was happy to be in Moncton....he talked about how he wanted to do whatever he had to in order to return as a 20yo.....end result was a player showing up to camp in what was probably the best shape of his life......he gets hurt misses a few games and bang gets sent home for being unhappy with his icetime after a few games back. Not much of a reward for a guy who busted his ass to be here.
Then they have this Matt Lahey guy in who seems to be a decent hockey player.....problem is they have a 20yo free agent from Ontario playing about 4 shifts per game on the 4th line with no PP time ?I can't imagine he'll stick around for very long if that is the case.
Is it normal that Brown,MacAusland,Lahey,Brannon and Famin don't play the PP ? Last sunday they had Stephens,Pettersson,Bissonnette with Savard and Jodoin playing as the top unit(well they had more icetime than the first unit anyways)......seems like a recipe for a very weak PP.Hasn't Cameron played the point on the PP before ?I don't really agree that Savard or Jodoin on the PP are good options. What happended to Dimitruk......all the hype about him and he doesn't seem to be great defensively or fit in to the PP either.....could he have been a little overrated?
To be honest I'm very suprised this team is 1st place...they seem to be relying very heavily on Rio......if they over-use him and burn him out it'll be scary.Hope Flynn knows what he's doing. The nice part is though with the hot start the Cats have basically assured a playoff spot....especially with the likes of PEI and HFX in the same division.

As far as the PP goes Bissonette, Stephens and Pettersson had the most chances on all the PP's that they were on. They scored the only goal on Sun and scored a PP goal on Fri. They move the puck well and they created chances. They have out played the first PP in the last two games IMO.

I think Bissonnette is a guy that I'm happy is on the PP because he brings vision and hands that none of our forwards have. I agree about Petterson, he is more of a 2 way, grinding type player. In terms of Dimitruk, his hockey sense and skating are both above average, I think he is still adjusting to the calibre of play. Last year he played in a relatively weak Junior league. He's made a few small mistakes(moreso recently) but in general I find he's been solid defensively.

I like seeing Bissonnette out there too....IMO he doesn't really deserve to be there yet BUT he has the tools to easily become a dominant PP performer......a very worthy investement of icetime for sure.Peterssen to me hasn't earned anything....he plays a safe two-way game and that's it......he's getting way too much icetime in general.Stephens well I guess a person could argue his case...he has PPG numbers that can't be argued.Savard is a stay at home guy and I haven't seen Jodoin enough to comment but I think he's OK on the #2 unit from what I've seen. What I don't understand is why it was so hard to find room for Biduke on the top lines (pp included)...he brought good size along with a finishing touch around the net that we don't have...a person could say that Lessard plays that part but I don't believe Lessard is nearly as good of a goal scorer as Biduke and there is no way in hell Lessard should be a first line + first PP guy like he is...not on a first place team anyway. What's the team gonna do with Lahey ?Once Sill and Roski are back somebody will have to sit.It obviously won't be Peterssen as he already plays 20+ minutes per game.....Eagles,Cameron,MacAusland,Brown,Brannon,Lessard,Famin,Bissonnette,Stephens(plays 30 minutes a game) are all basically shoe-ins...that leaves Lahey and Lane that will most likely be out in favor of Sill and Roski.

I think Lahey will play ahead of Roski when Roski's ready to return.

I'd move Bissonnette onto the 1st PP unit and Cameron to the 2nd unit. Also ... having Lessard as the trigger man in the slot does not work ... he has fanned on too many chances. IMO Eagles is one of our stronger PP guys ... he can turn on a dime and evade a checker but he lacks the big shot from the wing. He only scores in close and so he may be better off being the trigger man.

Well that is the same thing ... the Cats made several cuts during training camp ... and most of those guys are still Cat's property. Biduke was cut in favour of Lahey.
