Easy Carey don't get any banners ready just yet. This year seems like the breaks are going Moncton way so far. Vic was wining 3-1 with 8 mins left and they take a 5 min penalty we score 2 to go in overtime.I don't think the team is as good as the record shows so far.Tonight it seemed they where hanging on in the 3rd.Goaltending has been very good making the team look good.Last year on a Quebec road trip I think in BC a shot from center ice went in.Leading the game by 2 goasls in the 3rd they found a way to lose but this year seems the luck is on Moncton side.

Jesse isn't the first and won't be the last twenty year old, to work hard all summer and eventually get cut loose. (and yes, he did prove his dedication to making the team by coming back in great shape) When anyone thinks they are guaranteed a 20 year old spot on a rebuilding club in junior, I think we are talking more about fantasy than shattered illusions. . Yep, that is the standard reasoning. And it may make sense, as in giving prospects more time on a rebuilding team. What I was commenting on was the risk to damaging the team's, and some of the older remaining players, psyches.

Nobody can be as good as Moncton's record. You still don't go on that type of roll based on luck. Winning 3-4 games can be luck...at this point they have to be considered one of the top teams. They have the best goalie in nets and a deep attack, plus a mobile defense.

You're making no sense...as I said, Moncton is no longer rebuilding and 20 year old Biduke was replaced by 20 year old Leahy, how does that equate to giving his ice time to younger players?

Giving a newcomer the nod over a player that had worked hard for the team and had been with the team for a while is NOT necessarily making sense. Is Lahey hugely better than Biduke (when he is healthy)? The players might disagree with the coach on that one.

In my opinion, the only thing Budike was good at, was to stand in front of the net, good at deflecting and poping in rebounds... he's not strong on the boards, not a very good skater... I have virtually no doubts that Lahey is better than Biduke.. I heard he dropped some pounds in the summer and is a touch faster.. Defensivly he wasn't very strong either... Dude seemed to have a good attitude and work ethic tho, not knocking off the guy, but I dont see this as a bad move at all.

glad to see Tremblay is off to a great start back in midget aaa he got 4 point last game! and im sure he will be a future stud in the cats uniform!! It will be pretty tough for him to crack the roster at 18 if he couldn't hang on at 17. We have younger guys like Cisse (USHL), Daoust, O'Brien that will be given a shot (Cisse would be a lock if he reported) as forwards ... plus high draft picks we use next year. There will probably only be 6 spots open up next year ... three 20s ... plus 3 of six 19 YO this year. One of those leaving will be Boyle and he will likely be replaced by Downe. So we will probably lose 5 forwards (including Lane) and we may look for another enforcer to take up one of those spots. With two 1st round draft picks ... chances are they are both forwards (no room on the blueline) ... that makes it very tough for Tremblay to make the team. We will also draft another Euro unless thay cancel that program. Tremblay can play in the Q ... but he is better off to be traded and catch onto a team with less depth.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not, but to me the saddest part about Tremblay no longer being with the team....... is that now there's no more Julien to go along with Mr. Lahey and Randy.
