Well nice to see the Moose have the early lead in the Ciampini sweepstakes lol.
How are the 16 year olds (Bishop, Boudreau, Lewis) doing Lala? Always seems tough finding good up to date info on the midget leagues.

Watch us finish last this season, but lose the lottery. Seems about right for our luck. lol.
It's a deep draft so no matter if we pick 1st, 2nd, 3rd, we're going to get a good player. But if Ciampini that good, it'd be nice to have the top pick and bring a kid like that into the fold.

Maybe this time we are due

We also won the lottery after finishing 2nd last in 2004, which was the James Sheppard pick.

I don't know what's worse... losing these high picks to trades, or the fact that we HAVE all these high picks. Three bottom 2 finishes in 5 years. EDIT- assuming we finish bottom 2 this year, which seems very likely based on the current trend.

It would actually be over 7 seasons (first one being 03-04 and this year being 09-10), not 5.... assuming this year is a bottom 2.... which still isn't very good.

Yeah, which is essentially why I think they fired Patenaude... no light at the end of the tunnel with him. Now this year will be painful, and they will take their lumps, but next year and beyond should be a lot better.

I know its early but this kid is putting up some eye popping numbers... Luca Ciampini, 5'11 186, Chateauguay AAA.... In 5 games...he has 9 goals and 5 assists 9 goals! But like I said....its early. 12 goals now in 21 games played. 21-GP12-G 16-A 28-Pts What do you know on Louick Marcotte?

The Moose should consider drafting this kid named Boudreau, he leading the Que MAAA with 39 points in 24 games.

Yweah hes fallen off, although 28 pts in 21 games for a 15 year old is still quite good. The [roblem with Ciampini is his skating. Louik Marcotte plays for CCL, he is a more well rounded offensive player, i believe he is over a ppg as well.

Since this thread was bumped...Halifax may be looking to take a local kid #1 (or #2 depending on lottery). Taylor Burke plays for the Cole Harbour McCains and I know more than 1 person who prefers him over Ciampini. I have yet to see Ciampini play live so I cant comment on which id prefer.

What about Ciampini's linemate, Frederic Gamelin?? Seems, by the numbers, he's a pure playmaking centre. Looks to be a 1st rounder.
