I was expecting Stavert to have a shot at the team this year. I was kind of looking forward to seeing him at camp.

Zielonka would seem to be a waste of a spot ... unless ... Jaskin should be on the Special Euro list ... should he not ? I guess if we only have 10 draft picks no sense in making more room than we need. Johnston will likely come off of the list in a few days. Are there any notable deletions that anybody can see ? Nothing earth shattering ... Deruelle and Cam MacDonald appear to both be officially dropped, in case anyone thought they may get an invite to camp to try and win the 3rd 20 y/o spot. Local kids Mansbridge and Beckwith are no longer on the list ... Thomas Stavert would probably be the biggest surprise IMO ... and Jordan Labbe was a fairly high pick but has twice failed to impress at camp - no idea what kind of season he had, but if it was unimpressive, perhaps the team has seen enough and moved on. Re: Zielonka - the memory of getting burned by Cisse is probably still fresh - may as well keep him for another six months in case he changes his mind - could always get a draft pick out of another team if he wanted to play somewhere close to home. i don't think you got burned by Cisse |

I don't think so. I think the Armada would have simply went and found another 20 year old rather than Cisse.... he was not that great to be honest. It was clear he was never going to Moncton so why keep him on your list? There was no indication anyone was interested in him until mid-season last year when the Armada happened to need another 20 year old and took the free route.

The fact that he was "not taht great" is irrelevant. When they got him they saw him as a key player coming in, he was hyped and NHl drafted, I'm sure the Cats could have gotten AT LEAST a 3rd to 5th maybe more with conditions(if he palys X games etc). |

Moncton added Alex Kelly to their training camp list. He's a 96' born goalie from the Island.. I really like this signing. His stats arnt good to go by. Cornwall was awful this season. They made the Atlantic championship because they are from pei and made the finals only because of this guy. He was absolutely unreal during the Atlantic championship. |
