Likely just a superstition, whatever he's doing keep doing it it's working. This is the best he's ever played

Ever since Hulton stapled his ass to the bench he has been playing really well.
Noticed he is using his teammates a lot more which is great to see.
What ever he is doing keep doing it.

From time to time, I've seen Sprong in the area you mention between periods in each of the past 4 seasons. No big deal. By times you see guys outside the room between periods. Collecting thought? Getting some quiet time to focus? Kielly is another guy you sometimes see there. That makes sense and as long as it's not some group/team avoidance to alienate him from the rest of the team.

Sprong named First Star of the Month for February, with 26 points in 11 games and a +22 LinkThe first star of the month is awarded to Charlottetown Islanders’ forward, Daniel Sprong. In 11 games, the Pittsburgh Penguins prospect cumulated a total of 26 points, including 14 goals and maintained a +22 rating. The star forward scored the winning goal three times, in addition to recording the insurance goal on two separate occasions. In total, he compiled eight multi-point games, including three of 4 points. The 19-year-old got two 3 goals and 1 assist performances, once against the Drummondville Voltigeurs and the other facing the Moncton Wildcats. Since returning from his injury on January 6th, he amassed 37 points in only 22 games, and his point per game average is the second best in the league with 1.68, while his average of goals scored per game is 0.91, just ahead of Giovanni Fiore (0.89 | 47 goals in 53 games).

One story in today's Guardian talks about how Sprong 2 points behind Ben Duffy's 241 for career points with this franchise.
I know our the PEI Rocket/Charlottetown Islanders existence has seen many, many trades as we've rebuilt, retooled, rewhatevered....Savard loved to wheel and deal. Guys like Urquhart, Lambert, Lapierre, Bonneau, Bureau all spent their career with the Montreal/PEI Rocket. Ben Duffy and Josh Currie were PEI Rocket players for their entire career in the Q. But we've seen many good players over the years traded out and we've traded for a good many players too.
It's pretty impressive what Sprong has accomplished in production given that he spent half of last season in the NHL and half of this season on the injury list.
Sprong at 16 scored like very few 16 year olds I've ever seen in the league.

I believe Duffys totals should read 341 career points. But Sprong, with 239 so far, has played almost 150 less games then Duffy did, Still very impressive.

Duffy's record is very safe
but yes Sprong's accomplishments have been tremendous

misread
Duffy's numbers impress me with what he did at 18, 19 and 20 after having such a dismal 17 y/o season after a promising.
Sprong's numbers impress me in how he stepped in and was a 68 point scorer on a bad team as a 16 y/o and followd up with 88 points as a 17 y/o draft eligible players.
I should have pieced it together.... when Duffy was scoring 81, 82 and 110 at 18, 19 and 20, he was among the league leaders.
Sprong's one season of 88 is the only year he's been among the top producers over a full season in the league.

But after this season is done Sprong will have basically played 3 seasons. Pretty safe to assume if he played a full season last year or this, he would have surpassed the 100 point mark in both easily. And certainly next year. he will be 2 years short of Duffys in games played, assuming he is not here as an overager.

Taking into consideration the disappointment of being sent back at Xmas, and the time needed to adjust, I still think his year was pretty good. 2013-14 - 1.01 2014-15 - 1.29 2015-16 - 1.39 2016-17 - 1.68 By the way, the only player that is producing more than Sprong right now, in the Q, is Chlapik! Chlapik - 1.75 Sprong - 1.68 Hischier - 1.62 N Roy - 1.57

There is no doubt he is the best player in franchise history id say Chlapik is a close second. Best point producer..... absolutely. Best player in franchise history.... nope. If I was building a team and had a choice to pick one of Chlapik or Sprong it would be Chlapik hands down. Total team player that can put up big numbers, play all special teams, can hit and don't mind dropping the gloves. Sprong gives you a few more points and that's all he brings. He don't hit, can't kill penalties, and if I was a betting man he cant even spell defensive zone. Sprong is -21 over his Q career, Chlapik is -7. Sprong has a 1.31 ppg average while Chlapik is 1.27 ppg average.
