Is there an upper section of seating opposite the boxes (beyond the upper right corner of the photo)? There are only private boxes on one side.

You enter from the Mezzanine level and move up or down , depending on your Row . All aisles have hand rails in the centre and courtesy lights on the aisle seats .

Has the "boat show" blocked off 7 days +/- around March 31 for the next 10 years yet? If so it's beginning to look like a home.

Coliseum will continue to host the trade shows. The only thing that could ever block dates would be major international event like Curling.

Hopefully they keep the Coliseum and have more trade shows there, good for the economy.

Is the basketball team expected to play there too or still at the Coliseum?

Is the basketball team expected to play there too or still at the Coliseum? They are expected to play there I believe as the coliseum ice surface is expected to be repurposed....if they make it there. They currently are averaging 800 fans per game..even worse than the miracles. Their owners are quite rich though so depends if they care or not.

Most of the basketball teams aren't doing so great in attendance and I assumed Moncton's team would be no exception. I thought it might be a better option for them financially to still play at the smaller and older venue. But if they are re-purposing the Coliseum that likely isn't an option. Probably easier to have both teams use the same venue along with its staff, amenities etc.

On the topic of the Coliseum ice surface, I have heard that one option that is being considered is using the ice surface ias part of the City of Moncton ice allocation for use my Moncton Minor Hockey, ringette, Mariposa, etc. Not sure where the Magic will play out of, however.

I expected say a 5 yr deal ... work out the things they don't like and then sign a longer term deal after that. Well we are now stuck with our Q team ... lol

Well we are now stuck with our Q team ... lol The Irving letter on Wildcats web site didn’t mention a time line on contract for new facility, not that I saw anyway. What it did say was commentary on past 20 years for Cats at the old barn. Like you said a 20 yr contact would be surprising, Irving may not be the owner, hell he may not be alive by then. Letter said that STH package and pricing etc available by mid February, also working with city and lot owners on parking.
