Well game 1 didn't go so well, the team looked incredibly nervous to start the game and made lots of mental errors. The Cats don't have the talent level of the Armada but remove the unforced errors & unneeded penalties and game 1 could have been closer.
Lets hope they used their day off to re-focus and find that same confidence they showed against Rimouski.

Three costly turnovers, one puck knocked into the open net by a diving backchecker(after a great save on a breakaway) and a perfect PP pass to the open side. Would love to see a great bounce back effort, maintain intensity, and cut down on the giveaways to the hard working Armada.

If they settle down and play as a team as they did in the games against Rim they could really make a go at this series. Too many single efforts lead to turnovers and little offense. It would be nice to see them represent like they can.
It's good to see Grametbauer show how his Goal against isn't within his control. He has provided us solid goaltending. I don't know why he wouldn't be a shoe-in as a 20 for us.

It's a must win situation. No one in the league can beat the Armada when faced with winning 4 of 5 games.

Rumble usually has the guys bounce back after a tough loss. The loss was filled with mental errors, lack of discipline and lost assignments, and not really lack of effort, so hopefully, they bring some crazy intensity tonight. Barre-Boulet and Batherson looked frazzled during the first period, with the Cats laying the body. If not for that unfortunate Shorty, they might have pulled it off. Wildcats win a wild one today! 5-3 Cats, Phelan with an empty-netter.

Wildcats just can’t match the speed. I mean yes Blainville is talented but they are way faster than us right now and we have no time to make any decisions, too slow to react, move the puck. Are we just too gassed from 7 game series vs Armada sweep (4 game) to match their speed and intensity?
Won’t be much of a fight if we can’t find another gear. They are fast and smothering.

Reminds me of when the Cats faced the Gatineau Olympics in the finals in 03-04. Cats got schooled on speed and endurance. Maxime Talbot and Jean-Michel Daoust took the Cats to the toolshed in that series. The next year in 04-05, Luke Pelham gets traded to Gatineau and after his first practice with the team, he pukes in a bucket! lol

Got to think Aspirot gets suspended for kicking Barre-Boulet?
