Hate to see anyone lose their job but this was overdue. I guess the new GM will make the decision on Rumble. Agreed. One would think Rumble will be gone as well. I think he lost the respect of the players a longtime ago.

Rumble has to take the blame for Belamy. The kid could have got more ice time on this team. Simple as that. Unless there is more to the story who knows. He did inherit Conner Garland and his double and triple shifts, played the whole PK. Couldn't control the kid and couldn't trade him. So maybe just what could Rumble do if he's given top quality prospects from a GM that can get them?

Bellamy was a 1st round pick and he barely played behind guys like LeCoultre Auger Weiringa Arsenault and Tucker. There is a lot of blame to go on Shannon but that one is on Rumble and Hepditch.

How about this: Should he have been on the ice more: definitely yes Did he ask for a trade: Yes Did we do alright in the trade: Probably yes Can we come out ahead in the trade: Maybe Did it delay our rebuild: definitely

This may have something to do with his firing... "I'm not the most patient person so I don't know that I would have the patience for a three or four-year rebuild." Roger Shannon quoted in the Papers today.
I have a feeling the Memorial Cup bid had more to do with Shannon, than Irving.

Getting rid of Shannon means this is already a win this off-season. Good riddance, let him go destroy some other team.
