What's also a problem is you can point to RN and say "we should build like the Huskies" but if every team followed that strategy and had equal success it would no longer be successful because someone has to lose.

The Dogs have a proven successful hockey model so we can't complain to much. It is during the 2 or 3 down years in the cycle when they bottom out is when it hurts the business side and entertainment value.
Someone always loses. There is no guarantee that you will win no matter what model you use. If the Huskies and Dogs continued with their current models and were in the same build cycle, one of them will lose.
I don't have the answer to the perfect model but both Franchises have been winning in recent years.

Not taking anything away from the Huskies because they have done an amazing job managing their team the last 6 or 7 years. However, what they did is not a sustainable model because they had incredible drafts and found several high players in later rounds which has been some combination of luck. you just can't build a team around the idea you will get great players in the 5th round. Huskies will have tough few years to come at the expense of winning it all this season.

And so did SJ's model. So not taking away anything from your team, a plan is worth to be followed in order to succeed and not every time does it work..... The Titan also have a plan and they are following it as much as they can...

Anyone know the scoop on Anthony Cliche? Any chance on him reporting and making the team this year if he did report? He was taken in the 7th round but is on Hockey Canada's radar.
recent @sjseadogs draft picks are back in the spotlight! Congrats to Anthony Cliche, Cameron MacDonald, Peter Reynolds, Joshua Roy and Charles Savoie who have been invited to @hockeycanada's National Under-17 Development Camp in Calgary next month!

He's another ncaa kid so we'd have to convince him. Personally, I'd like to see a 16 on our blue line this year.

Is it time to drop the puck on the new season yet!?! I’m excited to see this group in their second season together with our new additions!

I guess I wasn't surprised by this announcement. A little dis-appointed as I was hoping that they could convince him to report to the Sea Dogs. Oh Well maybe next year.

Savoie- Jacob MacIntosh, Belilse Poirier- Villeneuve Lehmus- DesRoches Sibley- Musico Gallant- Kakouras Bouthillier M. Savoie That looks like a pretty good estimate. I think the top 8 are pretty much a lock (your top 9 minus Plamondon), and I think the other 6 forwards you have down battle for a spot in the top-nine and for 4th line. On D the top 4 are a no brainer, leaving likely those four other guys to battle it out for third pairing. In net, will likely be a battle between Savoie and DaSilva to back back Bouthillier. DaSilva put up some good numbers when he went back to Triple-A, looks like it was a great move for him.

At this point, it's more likely that we add a 16 year-old D.
