We have the assets for a two year run or do we wait for 2021 and ice a powerhouse. I personally would add a high profile player at the draft and tweak our forwards the league is wide open next year?

We should be able to be contenders in 2021. If they added a couple of two year players. Then go all in for 2022. I imagine they will need to add three 20 year olds. We don’t have anyone on the current roster that should be back as twenties.

I’m guessing the Guay trade with Rimouski will address 1 of the 3 20 year olds for next year at the draft

I’m guessing the Guay trade with Rimouski will address 1 of the 3 20 year olds for next year at the draft From what I hear, it will be a 2001 born player, so he'll be 19 next season but is expected to still be in the league the following season as well. Aside from Cajkovic, who is unlikely to return as a 20, the Sea Dogs are extremely weak when it comes to players born that year. As weak as we are with 2000 born players, we are weaker with 2001 born.

This has nothing to do with the trade thread but it is interesting the numbers our young Defense are putting up offensively but negatively also on the Defensive side with goals against.
I knew they were putting up alot of points but didn't realize they were leading the league in a couple of categories.

I'm in no rush to get rid of either but I think the choice would be obvious if it came down to it. My guess is we end up passing on the pick. Could always trade one at the draft too. If the rumour of us getting a solid 19 year old d-man at the draft are true, then I suspect we will use the import pick and draft a forward unless we trade one of our defensemen, which I doubt happens. As young and inexperienced as our D are now, it appears as though we will be pretty stacked next season with this addition and everyone being a year older. I even heard a rumour last night that we might be adding an 18 year old depth d-man at little to no cost for the rest of this season. Nothing against Lehmus but I think they might prefer to use that pick on a forward seeing as how we will 100% be losing our two 20 year old forwards. If such a D is coming, I'd hope that he'd be in the lineup today.

Durocher wearing #29 and expected to play on the top line with the killer Bs. Still no Deakin-Poot.

Would be nice if they could stay out of the box. Would love to see what that Bouthillier penalty was all about.

There is that 19 year old d-man that fell into our laps. I like Sibley but was hoping for someone better.
