Jude Vallée could be an option, although he has something at U de M at the moment. *Judes Vallée*

Regarding Dwyer. He's a players coach. Well, he was when he was over here. The players loved to play for him and would "win" for him. I think he would be a good hire.....and may be the type of coach that THIS years team needs. Going forward however, if I were RKI and was actually considering Dwyer.....it would not be a long term deal. 2yr max. So, I think he would be a good hire for this remaining season....a very good hire....but he wouldn't be my choice to start/go through a rebuild with. Congrats to Gord Dwyer on being named Head Coach of @hockeycanada's entry at World Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland Jan 9-22.

Dwyer would be a good option. Even if they have to be without him for 2 weeks.

A few names of guys who are potentially available locally ... some of these guys may make more sense as additions to the staff to supplement Boyce and Salvis if a big name coach is unavailable, others may be uninterested, or in some cases not an option due to past history with the team or Mr. Irving.
Serge Bourgeois - former UdeM coach, currently technical director for Dieppe minor hockey, might be a good add to work with the d-men
Derek Cormier - long time pro, lots of experience as a minor hockey coach, currently leads the Andrews Hockey programs in the area
Darren Rumble - doubtful IMO - they just decided less than a year ago that he wasn't the guy they wanted
Josh Hepditch - same as Rumble perhaps? Or is he still a guy Irving likes that just didn't mesh with Torchetti and wasn't renewed as a result?
Charlie Bourgeois - it has been a while since he was coach of a team ... wonder if the game has passed him by? Hard to see him leaving his current business, and not sure if he and Irving would be able to co-exist.
Roland Collette - could be an interesting option as an assistant if he was interested ... veteran guy who seems well liked
Fabian Joseph - still floating around, recently added to the Atlantic Hockey Group staff. I think I heard he has a new career outside of hockey, so perhaps no longer interested ... also not sure what kind of terms he left the Cats organization on.
Anyway, just a few local names to stimulate conversation - there are probably others I am not thinking of.

Luke Beck from PEI could be another spot fix

Daniel Lacroix is another name i haven't heard mentioned.
Ted Nolan or Guy Boucher would be my favourites for the job if available.

Hodge has an article out about the head coach search. Any useful information?

Hodge has an article out about the head coach search. Any useful information? Doesn’t say much. Resumes are starting to come in. Probably won’t have a new coach named in time for the December 28th game.

If the Wildcats are again looking for a Coach/GM, depending who they have in mind, they may now face some competition from Gatineau. Alain Sear resigned today as GM and shareholder of the team.
