Plus the team in front of him had no defensive structure. Yep... moving goalies won't change that. Yeah and there is that too.

Kotkov is currently at the Sharks AHL training camp. If he gets cut they might send him to the Dogs. So the border is now open to European junior hockey players (aside from World Juniors)? From what I heard, the Sharks wanted him here all along but the issue was getting him into the country. I haven't really followed much since the season was put on hold in November but this sounds encouraging.

I don't think Jones was handled properly. He just got over being in Quarantine for 24 days out of 28. He Didn't have much of a training camp if any and then never got to play more than 1 game in a row. Plus he started looking better just as the season was put on hold. Do we know if the team gave up on him or if he simply didn't want to come back and do another 2 weeks of isolation for a season that could get cut short again? Especially considering he'd only expect to play half the games. In addition to the 28 days you mentioned, he did another 14 with the rest of the team when there was an exposure when the season was put on hold.

Quebec media starting to buzz about a possible Roy deal.
Some of the possible dance partners are:
Drummondville - with Dufour, Dion, and Simoneau and a youth movement in full swing, Drummondville is rich in what we want
Rimouski - Rimouski is pick rich
Sherbrooke - they are sort of a hybrid of the two in that they have players like Parent, Poulin, and Mianscum, but also have lots of picks.
Gatineau - If this were anyone but us, Gatineau could pull this off in their sleep. They are built similarly to us last year (with better coaching and much better vets). Because the teams line up in terms of cycles, SJ would demand a significant overpay.
Quebec - they believe that acquiring Roy would be legal because he didn't play for BLB and they wouldn't be acquiring the pick. That said, a trade for Roy would hurt them, because SJ would ask for an overpay from them for the same reason as Gatineau.

Thanks for the info, but I’m more interested in any news of us trading a defenseman. Don’t think I’m alone in that either.

I dont think we need to get another defensemen we just as a team play better defense. As for roy its too bad i think at 18 and 19 he will be one of the best in the league if its off ice issues then i wish him all the luck and hope we can get a top 18 yr old in return and go all in next year as i think this yr is a right off.

When 3 of our top 4 Dmen seem more interested in scoring goals and playing positionally as a fourth forward, defence is going to be a problem.

I think that more backchecking from our forwards will help that. And I expect a D.

I know that trading Roy is going to be difficult. We are probably not going to get what Georgie wants for him at this point or I think a deal would be done by now. Has he painted the Dogs into a corner where he only wants to be traded to a few select teams. I don't know how true this is but he may have nixed a deal to go to RN. Maybe they should just shut him down for the year.

If Roy doesn’t get traded and he wants to sit home for he rest of the season that’s what he’ll do. Despite his talent, Roy doesn’t hold the cards here.

My personal belief is the season will be canceled if so and if roy isnt traded does he come back in the fall for next season?
