sorry you're correct just double checked the pick bank. Charlottetown does not have a 2024 1st, however the Simoneau trade is listed on the Q website was for a 2021 1st, 11th overall. So maybe there's an error? I actually went back to do some digging and I can't find anywhere on the Q site for the Iles trading their 2024 1st rounder. 2021 1st for Simoneau 2022 AND 2023 1st for Guay nothing for 2024 2021-08-18 DRUMMONDVILLE RD_3, 2023 (CHA) RD_4, 2023 (CHA) RD_5, 2023 (CHA) CHARLOTTETOWN RD_1, 2024 ohh ok I see it now it was 2 separate transactions. That's my bad, my apologies.

So the trade period starts Sunday and ends on January 6th.
Thibeau said in AN that he had interest for Labelle langlois Couture Hamel Olson and Kalmikov.

Olson and Couture helping their trade value so far. I don’t know what either of them bring back in a trade but if I’m a contender, I’d be strongly interested in adding Olson as a 3rd pairing D in an ideal world. I even think he’s capable of playing in the top 4 but he seems like the perfect type of D to add to provide depth, that shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

I’m sure Georgie and the Dogs are the ones inquiring about Couture, they have to be more than a little concerned about Lemieux as their #1 especially after last night. Nice bonus that Couture played so well against them last night

seen on the french board: Desgrosseillers to Victoriaville unsure on return That one wouldn't make a lot of sense from a hockey perspective ... Victoriaville is near the bottom of the league and going nowhere. I suppose it could be an instance of a player wanting to be closer to home for the second half of his final year in the league ...

I suppose, in theory, a young Victo team could be looking for a servicable vet to solidify their back end for the second half ... and while Desgroseillers is solid, I doubt the contending teams view him as an upgrade. If he expressed an interest to play closer to home, it could be a situation where Victo sends a pick (maybe a 3rd or 4th) to the Cats, and the Cats turn around and acquire a comparably priced OA on the market (maybe a Maritime kid that would also be happy to come home for the final stretch of their junior career).

Traded for a 2023 6th Not much of a return. It does make me think it was a requested trade. Victo is only 2 hours from his birth place. I'd think a puck moving d man who can play top 4 would be worth more than a 6th 2 drafts away. Cats now have an open 20 spot. D'Aoust coming back or perhaps just adding another cheap 20 somewhere else?

If Daoust comes back they should trade him for a 1st rounder.

They need someone to pair with PO Roy now that Sévigny's gone.
