It sounded like PEI could be easing things in the coming days/ weeks I don’t even have any expectations about the season starting with or without fans.. at this point if I see hockey again this season it will be great but my expectations are low

Rinks on pei agreed to stay open a month longer this season. Hopefully positive news with that

Islanders will be required to start season on the road due to restrictions in place on PEI..... Eagles and Mooseheads in the same situation.

Nothing announced other than practices (20 person limit) starting next week. I would assume they could play (likely with no fans) starting the 14 as well. |

With the resumption in play being announced, the QMJHL has released the updated first weeks schedule.
The Islanders will play on the road this weekend:
-Saturday, Feb. 5 in Baie-Comeau at 4:00 AST
-Sunday, Feb. 6 in Chicoutimi at 5:00 AST
These were games that were to be part of a Baie-Comeau-Chicoutimi-Rimouski trip back in January. Rimouski is in the Maritimes this weekend to play Moncton and Saint John so we don't get to do the stop there on this trip.

-We'll play in Quebec on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 8:00 AST (originally scheduled for March 6)
-We'll go to Bathurst on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 3:00 AST (originally scheduled for Feb. 5)
-We'll host Bathurst on Monday, Feb. 21 at 4:00 AST (originally scheduled for Feb. 19)
-We'll host Halifax on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 7:00 AST (originally scheduled for Feb. 12)
Hopefully we will be able to host home games (with some fans!) by the date scheduled above.
