Wonder if that makes him the favorite as back up?

Wonder if that makes him the favorite as back up? Seems a bit odd that he was let go for nothing ... his stats as an 18 year old on a bad team were not terrible, and it appears he was their starter in the playoffs (albeit a four game defeat). On paper, he would certainly seem to be the leader for the backup job.

They have two other 19 year olds that played a lot last year, probably on loan and the WC send a pick if he makes it...just assuming here...

Wonder if that makes him the favorite as back up? The QMJHL experience looks good, but I'm still giving the edge to Steinman.

Taibel will be ready to go, I assume since it’s in august there allowing countries extra players either that or they’ll have to make 1-2 cuts and if he’s cut, he’ll already be in Canada

Probably not likely to happen (unfortunately), but they are both among the best for their age group so the Wildcats would have to make room if they wanted in. I wonder if Pavan is traded before camp. For defence, I think Richard may have a shot at the last spot. I think the second goaltender slot will be wide open. Hopefully a strong competition at camp.

Forwards
Loshing - Labelle - Barbashev Beaudoin - Taibel - Auger Smith - Mueller - Mercier Lounsbury - Daniel - MacPhee
Extras: Supprien and Parent
Originally, I had Pavan and Sarrasin as extras but Supprien and Parents are two guys who will surprise at training camp. Plus, there's still time for others to be added.
Defense
Iasenza - Hamel Morin - Darcy Fortier Gendron - Grenier
Extras: Dollemont, Ballentyne
Goalies
Filion Steinman

Don't see much mention of Casey and Lyons up front. Website says they are coming to camp.

There's no way they trade 2 3rds for Beaudoin to put him on the 3rd line. Playing with Loshing and Labelle theres no reason he cant put up 20+ goals while balancing out the size and physicality of that line. How good is the league Tatarenko played in compared to the CCHL ?
