Moncton against Magog for the Telus Cup Championship at 10:30pm. Game will be on TSN3 and TSN4. Lounsbury versus Baillargeon. Quite the ending. Baillargeon got the last two goals scored by Magog to tie it up, both in the last few minutes of the third, and Lounsbury assisted on the game winner in overtime. Lounsbury and Baillargeon also both ended up being among the top 4 point scorers in the tournament. Hoping that they’ll both be able to get consistent playing time next year along with Grenier and add to the young core of Morin, and Mercier. Can we expect that McPhee will make the team too? He seemed to miss a lot of time this year

Baillageron has a lot of Gallagher in him, always around the puck and scoring from the dirty areas.

Hopefully one of them isn't traded at the draft for a 20 year old....

Keep building through the draft. Seems like he’s hinting at something. But I definitely agree that they should really try to keep all the young guys at this point. Obviously you don’t want to have the team stink next year, but it’s a hard pill to swallow that they would be trading away a promising player for a one year player.

I think they have 3 third rd picks. I would not spend any more than a third on an OA. But what kind of impact 20 would you get for a 3rd? If they return Hamel, Labelle, Langlois that's already a pretty good trio I think. So if you move one out you gotta get more than a 3rd back. If not it's just a lateral move.

Apparently Langlois doesn't want to come back. But you can trade him and basically get an OA for the same pick(or similar).

History shows you can't keep ALL of the young guys - there is only so much ice time to go around at any given point in the cycle. IMO, to properly manage your assets, you sometimes need to trade high on certain young players, because if you wait too long eventually you are left dropping guys or moving them cheap at 18 when they have not yet had the opportunity to develop. Need to be careful valuing "prospects" who didn't crack the team the first time around ... for every late bloomer who turns into a key player after an extra year of midget, there is another guy who puts up big stats in midget in their second time through that league that never develops into a solid major junior player. Midget stats for "veteran" players can often be fools gold in my experience ...

They have young guys drafted like anybody but they don't all project as Q regulars.

So here's one for the conspiracy theorists: Jim Irving (brother of Robert and co-CEO of JDI) has been put on a 26 person list of Canadians banned from Russia. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/russia-banned-jim-irving-1.6464047Although Robert Irving is not on the list, he is directly adjacent to Jim. It makes me wonder if Max Barbashev is staying in North America this offseason. Governments are ramping up the political prisoner game. Could they prevent Max from leaving the country as a statement to the Irvings and/or CHL (assuming he is even there)? #TuesdayTinfoil

Don't think he'll be going back to Russia in the off-season.
