I suppose for trading now vs Christmas you'd really have to factor in which draft we'd rather start from. Which draft is deeper and more worthwhile for us to stock up for? For OA, you have to factor what you can get now vs later but also having solid vets to plug in. It also allows you to get young assets basically a year earlier versus midseason. With euros and OA's there is no guarantee the market is as good at midseason(assuming you are getting a very good return at the draft).

It’ll be fun following along with this rebuild I’ll enjoy getting back to the rink a lot kore now because my 2 young sons have taken such a liking to the team so it’s something we enjoy together. Anyways everyone have a great summer and hopefully see a few of you back at the rink.

Let’s try and keep this straight. Biakadutuka to CB rumoured and no idea on the return. Elliot to Drummondville rumoured and no idea on return. Guay to BB rumoured and no idea on the return. That leaves Plandowski, Brabenec, as big tickets to trade at Christmas. Hopefully Trudeau comes back and if so, he should get a strong return. It would be a kick in the pants if he doesn’t come back. You then have Roy, Lapenna and Stairs as players you’d like to capitalize on too. Both Roy and Stairs should be able to get you picks for this draft. Lapenna I’m sure there’s a market but it might be slim. With out looking I don’t know what teams might be looking for an upgrade in goal. IMO I’d want to have Gallant, and Maynard as 2 of the 3 20yos and use most these other guys to get multiple 2nd round pick at least. Hulton seems to love that round. This draft will be exciting for you guys. It's hard to understand whatever you're trying to bring up... Those guys, Biaka, Guay and Elliott, are future's meaning the trade in which they are involved are far from being finalized. If these rumours are sketch out as I think they will, picks put aside will come back CHA way. Then, those players added at christmas will be dealt and more pick/players will be added. Only then will we have the full picture. So, we do have some idea on what's going on regarding those trades if things normally pan out as planned.

I’m not sure what your point is or if it’s a question. The players I wrote are futures from the trades that happened last Christmas trade period. Each player I list are rumoured to go to the team I listed and picks will be coming back. The other players I brought up will be good trade bait at the 2022/23 trade period. That’s what my point is.

I really doubt Guay is/was a future to acquire Roy

I think we're saying the same thing, just wasn't sure because of the ''no idea of the return'' mentionned when speaking about the traded player.

Always hard to forsee how players will adjust and improve. Before this season, Patty's best season was 40pts. Of course, there have been Covid seasons as well.

I would like to know how many assists Simoneau got on Guay's 55 goals.

I was worried they had a deal arranged with somebody for Guay before he really popped off. Oh well, we’ll still return some assets plus whatever Roy gets us back.

It’s not like Roy is a bad player he could fetch a really good return at Xmas to

damn... trade basically 1 for 1 so the 2 3rds and 2 4ths will be sent back to you guys for Guay. I mean the trade had futures written all over it for sure but didn't expect Guay to be the one to go for that price.
Apparently Blainville isn't done either and is expected to go all-in this year.
